Anomaly 893 (Designated as A-SK), or Shadow Killers are a species of shadow predator anomaly that appear in the GFA-RSCP genre. Their danger classification is Edno-Jenotiza for standard variants, and Amida-Spectinum for Modified Variants.

Designated Containment Procedures

In assistance with the RSCP Foundation, several task forces are to regularly be on the lookout for either: news about sudden, violent deaths related to suicide due to insecurity, or sightings of deceased members of public suddenly being sighted, in order to find and attempt to capture or eliminate any wild instances of Shadow Killers.

The four specimens of Anomaly 893 (three standard variant, designated A-SK-1, A-SK-2, and A-SK-3, and one modified variant, designated A-SK(M)-1) acquired by the Agency must be contained in a 10 x 10 studs room made of steel and concrete, located on the premise of N.W.D.C.I. Due to the complicity of visually viewing Anomaly 893, two security cameras with infrared filters and infrared-sensitive film and several ultraviolet classified lights are to be installed inside the room. Each specimen of Anomaly 893 is to be fed with 20 kg of varied meat every month.

No cadavers, bodies, and related items, are to be present in the chamber, and are to be cleared up within a time period of three days. If Anomaly 893 suddenly disguise itself as a deceased, it is to be terminated or contained with aggravated force.

In the event of a sighting of an Anomaly 893 modified variant, personnel are advised to not attempt to terminate said variant due to complicity and rarity of the sightings, instead are required to follow Containment Hazard-7c procedures for anomalous event securement.

Description

Shadow Killers are a species of shadow predator anomaly that resembles the likeliness of ghast-like, unguligrade shadow beings, possessing a robloxian-like face with a mouth lined with jagged-like teeth. On each hand, they have five claws that can be up to 5 studs long. Although are able to inflict harm, they are easily breakable, making them unfit for combat. The height of an Shadow Killer can range from 1.6 to 3.5 studs, and weight may vary depending on the deceased species they mimic. Physically, Shadow Killers, in their shadow forms, are weak and harmless, possessing no effects to others and are not physically able to inflict harm. Though in their possess-looks, their physic may vary depending on the species. They do not seem to rest or had any form of sleep; instead, they would sometimes pause in random intervals, ceasing all activites, and would resume normal activities after a period of time, commonly ranging from 8 to 15 minutes.

Shadow Killers in their shadow form are visible only at wavelengths ranging from 890 nm to 940 nm or in direct contact with UV lighting. This applies to all of said anomaly's tissues. If their skin, muscles or organs have suffered from second to third-degree burns, the affected areas will be visible at wavelengths ranging from 570 to 940 nm or in direct contact with direct light.

Shadow Killers feed on deceased carcases or medium-to-large animals, including robloxians. They hunt either alone or in pairs. Their hunting methods consist of emitting a single burst of an neurological cognito-hazardous anti-reactional (NCHAR) wave, which permanently inhibits the ability of the affected creature to enter a stage of uneasiness. The ability to defend is also lost. The effective range of the NCHAR waves is up to 20 studs; however, tests show that they can be blocked by non-transmittable metals, specifically the combination of concrete and steel.

All attempts to make victims of Shadow Killers have the ability to defend have failed. It is still possible to induce other forms of defense, although these will usually prove detrimental to the affected subject as they do not provide true defense.

After depriving their victims of uneasiness and the inability to defend themselves, Shadow Killers will stalk their prey until they were to suddenly feel suicidal and commit suicide. At this point, Shadow Killers will proceed to consume the deceased bodies and would mimic said body in several occasions. Shadow Killers have proved to be very agile and silent while stalking their victims. On occasion, they will deliberately make threatening noises around the prey in order to further stress it and may even physically assault it if the victim proves to be particularly sane.

Other than the common symptoms caused by uneasiness and the inability to defend themselves, some victims of Shadow Killers have shown signs of suffering from extremely depression episodes, as well as sudden bouts of insanity with no apparent external stimuli. It is currently thought that these are the effects of prolonged exposure to NCHAR waves. Why Shadow Killers continually exposes these waves to only some of their victims is unknown. One hypothesis is that Shadow Killers will only do this in desperation, since it further degenerates the physical and mental state of their prey, proxy-killing it at a faster rate.

Addendums

  • Addendum A-893-01: Shadow Killers are first discovered in the Northern Robloxia in 1804, though are mostly scene as deceased beings reanimated by unknown cause and does not pose any harm. The first death caused by Shadow Killers were in 1987, where a robloxian suddenly committed suicide after the uneasiness of someone following him, which driven him to insanity.
  • Addendum A-893-02: An incident at NWDCI has given us a problem; there was a sighting by personnel of a "evolved-like" Shadow Killer, roaming around the Maintenance Area of the site during the incident. While we do not have any actual photo or video evidence that can prove this existence, we had drawn descriptions of what this "evolved" Shadow Killer could be.
