This article is about the historical airline (1979–2010). For the current airline, see Scotair (2023-present).
Scotair was an airline that begun operations in the late winter of 1979, but it ceased operations in 2010 due to financial difficulties, with the last flight taking place on December 6th. During that time, there was only one accident, in which a herd of cattle was on the runway as Scotair Flight 455 on a Robus R310 was heading toward it. A few passengers were hurt as a result of the flight's stopping near takeoff speeds. The plane was not badly damaged and was repaired a few weeks after. The herd of cattle, on the other hand, were killed as the plane hit them on the runway.
