SGT. Madoka (まどか軍曹, Madoka Gunso) is a Neo-Japanese series that ran from 2004 until 2014. It was produced by the company, Studio SHAFT. It is based on a manga series of the same name by the Neo-Japanese mangaka and writer Akita Neru. It has been serialized since 1998.
The series has a sequel, "NEW! SGT. Madoka", which has aired since 2024.
Premise
It is about the adventures of the Madoka Platoon, a group of “evil” magical girls who attempt to take over Roblox but fail after the group’s leader gives up her plan and is now doing things only a “Robloxian would do” such as going to school.

There exists an film series based upon the franchise produced by SHAFT (the studio behind the anime) and various official web animations that have been posted on the official SGT. Madoka BloxTube channel since June 15th, 2008.
Furthermore, a compilation film based upon Sgt. Madoka came out on February 17th, 2026 (mostly to celebrate the franchise’s 22nd year anniversary), the film is a compilation of the first 23 episodes of the anime but have been edited together to fit the 1 hour and 39 seconds format.
