This article is based on Wikipedia's draft policy.
Drafts are articles in the Draft namespace (draftspace) where new articles can be created, developed, and even owned. Created in response to users demanding that they should still have ownership rights over their lore even if the greater ownership rule is deprecated, they allow contributors to develop new pages, to receive feedback, and exercise ownership on their pages before being moved to Robloxiapedia's article namespace (mainspace). If you are logged in, creating a Draft version first is optional. Contributors may instead choose to create draft pages in their userspace rather than on the main space. This namespace was created, and the current process established, in August 2025, but currently, Robloxiapedia does not allow articles to be moved directly to the Draft namespace as it is not an officially recognized namespace like the mainspace or userspace. As such, Robloxiapedia users have to prepend the string Draft: to the normal title of any article they want to make as a draft, or remove it if they want their article to be published to the mainspace.
Creating and Editing Drafts:
Users must be logged in to create and edit drafts. Drafts must have "Draft:" before their normal title, and instead of an associated talk page, the comment section can serve as one (please do not, under any circumstance, create a talk page to associate a draft with as this will create a cursed Talk:Draft: prefix and will result in Robloxiapedia staff having to delete it just because it is so ugly). Users can visually edit the draft. Changing a page from a draft to an article can be done by any user who can move pages, but just because a user can, does not mean a user should. If this would effectively create a create-protected page, users should seek assistance by contacting any Robloxiapedia staff member.
Please note that the creator of the draft can choose to assert ownership on an draft, therefore, it should not be taken as abuse should the creator revert any user edits made on the draft, unless the edits were spelling/grammar fixes.
After you have created your draft page:
- Robloxiapedia users must use any form of a notice to notify users that says that the article is a draft.
- Robloxiapedia users must include Draft: in the title of the article.
- They also should put it in the draft articles category, located at this location.
Finding Drafts:
Unfortunately, search engines, including Google, will index draft pages, meaning that all readers will find them. An alternative way to find them without leaving Robloxiapedia entirely is to use Robloxiapedia's built-in search engine and type the keyword Draft:. Using Special:PrefixIndex and searching for the keyword displays draft pages, including redirects if the page is no longer a draft.
Moving Drafts to Mainspace:
Putting the article in the main namespace (where normal articles are) requires an contributor to use the page move function to move it into the Main (article) namespace by removing the Draft: in the title of the article. Before a user does this, however, the page owner must agree to revoking their ownership of this article and allow edits to be made by any user for any purpose (except for edits that are clear violations of Robloxiapedia rules). Please note that this process must not be reversed by the former page owner. The Robloxiapedia bureaucrat may reverse this process, but such process reversals are rare.
