Robloxian Show (not to be confused with A Roblox Show) is an adult stop-motion animated show created by Koli Rasel and Kishi Akira. The show was created in 2008, and since then it has become a staple of Robloxian entertainment. It is known for it being one of Robloxia's most controversial shows.

Background and Conception

Koli Rasel and Kishi Akira met at The Robloxian University of the Arts. They came up with the idea after they challenged themselves to create the funniest thing. They came up with the short "The Life of a Child" ,which became a viral sensation, and soon, Bloxy Bros. Entertainment picked them up for their brand new programming block, Robloxian Adult Swim. Originally, the show was just going to be shorts compiled into one 15 minute episode. However, it was decided the shorts would be a full length 15 minute episode, due to the fact that it would not be able to tell the story they wanted in 3-4 minutes.

Seasons 1-3

During these seasons, most of the episodes were made with a two to three week gap in between.

Conception of Episodes

In the beginning of the show's life, the conception was very different. It took around three to five days to come up with an idea for an episode. During this process, the creators and the writers came up with ideas by using "what-if" scenarios. The meetings took place in a private room, the only time they would know what they were talking about was when they would get the script so the animators could animate the show.

Writing

After the idea for the episode came, they began to write the episodes. These were often the hardest parts of producing the episodes, since they had to take whatever they got from the what-if scenarios and put them into script. These often took six to seven days. The writers described the process as "brain farts every day." The process was deemed to be ineffective in actually increasing the speed of the episodes, so it was replaced by the end of the third season.

Voice Acting

Voice acting was what happened directly after the writing. The voice acting was the easiest part of the process. The creators were the voices of the characters as well as one of the writers. They voiced all the characters. It was possible to have voice acting done in a day, however it often lasted two days since they wanted to have the best quality possible, and since they wanted to master the voice. The process got shorter as the show went on, since they got used to voicing the characters.

Animation

The animation of the episodes happened right after the voice acting. This often took four to five days, but since of the show's simple style, the animation was often quicker than two days, however it was not the average. They used stone clay, because it had relatively good texture, and because it was cheap.

Seasons 4-16

The episodes from Seasons 4-16 are done within eight days, and as such, the process is much more different.

Conception of Episodes

Instead of using 'what-if" scenarios, the writers and creators started using jokes and took it into a full episode. The whole thing saves time in making the episodes, and helped get rid of some of the writing process. The reason the writers and creators started using this process was because "it would make the writing process quicker, thus, the whole process of making the episode would be much quicker, thus, making us more able to make the episode within the self-inflicted six day deadline." The process took three to four hours.

Writing

The writing of the episode was quicker, because a lot of the jokes and plot lines were created during the conception. They just needed to add adequate context, which the creators deemed "the best form of writing a show could have," and the writers deemed it "the easiest way to put out high-quality episodes of a TV Series." This took around one day.

Voice Acting and Animation

The animation and the voice acting of the episodes were done at the same time, in order to save time. The voice acting took around two days, and the animation also took two days. Since the art style of the show was very simple, and because the show had better artists and software to work with, the animation of the episodes took less time. They also moved to magic clay, as it gave better structure than stone clay.

Themes

The episodes of the show often take themes of dark humor, although as the creators described it as "the show is primary dark humor, however it isn't like other shows that use dark humor when their like, what's the most messed up thing we can joke about. Our dark humor is taken from irony, and how the characters don't realize what they are saying." The show also has some non-comedy themes, such as sexual relationships and the death of relatives. The themes of the show gave it a TV-MA rating.

Episodes and Special Events

Main Article: List of Robloxian Show episodes

The show currently has 238 episodes from 16 seasons, with the 17th season still in the works, due to the creators having to work on special events. Koli Rasel tried to convince the team to end the show, since he has reportably being paranoid that his parents would die before he could finish the show. The creators have said that the show has been running too long, and they are probably going to end it by the 20th seasons, but as of right now, no new episodes have been made due to the fact that the creators are working on "special events" for the streaming service "RBO Max" which they have a deal that they would make fourteen one hour specials for the streaming service.

Distribution

Brodcasting

Robloxian Show airs often; every one to two weeks, it would be aired. The reason for the infrequent airings is that most episodes take two weeks to get released due to the creators often spending time reviewing the episode. If they know an episode is ready before this happens, then it is released weekly. Obviously, the inconsistency when broadcasting has made it very confusing to know when an episode happens.

Digital and Streaming

The show is available to stream on RBO Max. It is able to be purchased digitally on Woodoo. It is also possible to watch a selection of episodes for free on the show's official website.

Streaming Service/Digital Platform Seasons
RBO Max Every Episode from Seasons 1-16 plus the movie, special events, and all the special features
Woodoo Every Episode from Seasons 1-16 plus the movie, plus some special features
Robloxian Show Official Website Certain Episodes from seasons 1-16

Home Video

Many releases of the show has been released on multiple formats. However the release schedule is very inconstant. Some seasons are released before others before it. Others have more special features than others. Also, the Home Video releases barely get any announcements, so when one does get released, not a lot of people know. Obviously, the majority moved to streaming and digital purchasing the series due to how bad the release schedule is.

  • The creators of the shows almost got killed over one of the controversies.

Controversies

L1ttle b0Y Controversy

After famous rapper L1ttle b0Y praised Eradicator IX, said deathreats towards AndroidTan, and said he was going to rape AhaGotcha while she was pregnant and send it to her family members, they decided to make fun of him. In the episode "Hey Y'all, I AM CRAAZYYYY" they said that he was insane, and that he can't go a day without saying bad stuff towards other people. There was even a scene where he got sent to a mental hospital. This would cause L1ttle b0Y mental state to decrease. The whole event would end up backfiring, mainly because after a couple years after the episode released, he was diagnosed with Rizophrenia, meaning that it was probably a mental disorder that caused him to say what he said, meaning that they were clowning on a person who was suffering from a mental disorder, which is very offensive towards people with mental disorders.

Robloxians Controversy

In 2016, The Robloxian Show had made fun of a existing television series, Robloxians in one episode, due to the fact it obviously has stuff that kids should not watch, even though it was airing on a kids channel. The fandom of the existing television series Robloxians took this to the extreme, and one of the fans attempted to leak the address of Kishi Akira's family, but failed. It also lead to one of the fans attempting to kill the creators, but failed. However, nowadays, the episode making fun of the television series has became one of the most popular episodes in the show's history.

Gerrad Bloxy Controversy

The show got into controversy in 2024 when they made fun of the musician Gerrard Bloxy. While the creators respect Gerrard Bloxy, the episode mocked him. They made fun of how he retired, but went back to making music. The episode was controversial, due to one of the characters, Gorgie, kept calling Gerrard a derogatory term multiple times during the episode, upsetting the LGBT community within Roblox. One time, Gerrard Bloxy was even offended by the show, but now he finds the episode funny.

Quotes

Now normally instead of fuck, I would have to say freak, but now I'm saying fuck, fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck, fuck. Deal with it motherfuckers. Abbas Ferguson's opening line in the opening episode for season 2

Off to the movies we will go

Were we get everything that we know

Cause the movies tell us what our parents don't wanna say

One of the lyrics to the song "Movie Time" in Robloxian Movie

Now I don't know why you guys are hating on furries. I mean, they are just normal people just like you. All they do is wear costumes that make them look like animal. Most of the time you look like animals wearing your suits. Brogan Jacobs speaking to the Anti-Furry Coalation in the Season 9 episode "Furry or Not Furry?"
