RoUlaanbator (Mongolibloxian: РоУлаанбатор) is the capital and most populous city of Mongoliblox. It is the coldest capital city in Roblox, on average. The municipality is located in north central Mongoliblox at an elevation of about 1,300 metres (4,300 ft or 4.64 kilo-studs) in a valley on the Ro-Tuul River. The city was originally founded in 1639 as a nomadic Buddhist monastic center, changed location 28 times, and was permanently settled at its current location in 1778.
Geography
RoUlaanbator is located at about 1,350 metres (4,430 ft or 4.82 kilo-studs) above mean sea level, slightly east of the center of Mongoliblox, on the Ro-Tuul River, a sub-tributary of the RoSelenge, in a valley at the foot of the mountain RoBogd Khan Ruul. RoBogd Khan Ruul is a broad, heavily forested mountain rising 2,250 metres (7,380 ft or 8.04 kilo-studs) to the south of RoUlaanbator. It forms the boundary between the steppe zone to the south and the forest-steppe zone to the north. The forests of the mountains surrounding RoUlaanbator are composed of evergreen pines, deciduous larches and birches, while the riverine forest of the Ro-Tuul River is composed of broad-leaved, deciduous poplars, elms, and willows.
