In 1967, the companies of RoDonnell and Co. and Rouglas Aircraft have formed to create a company called RoDonnell-Rouglas.
In 1997, RoDonnell-Rouglas has merged to Roeing.

In the early 1980s, RoDonnell-Rouglas started a program of the Super 60 series aircraft equipped with more powerful engines.
It long has appeared that RoDonnell-Rouglas was doomed, starved for investments to modernize its facilities and losing market share annually. It has less than 10% of the Roblox market now.
RoDonnell-Rouglas was one of the manufacturers that pursued this new technology for nearly a decade before abandoning it as a future airline power plant.
