History

Despite the religion being a more modern one started in 1966 with the Church of Ro-Satan, the ideology dates back to The Middle Ages, when knights were accused of partaking in Ro-Satanic rituals. Between the 1500's and 1600's, multiple rumors would spread around Eurobloxia about witches leading to hundreds of trials.

In this time period, a small amount of Ro-Satanist groups would appear. They could be either following Ro-Satan or just countering the religious groups.

The group's arrival to Robloxia would not occur until the 1960s, when it would be mostly self-contained.

The Ro-Satanic Panic of the 1980s

In the 1980s, a rumor would spread that the group was committing acts of sexual abuse, murder, and cannibalism in its rituals. At first, the guilty were marked as witches, but the label of Ro-Satanism would be seen as a more favorable alternative. It would start what was known as the Ro-Satanism Scare. Those accused in the conspiracy were Robloxians of prominent positions, from politicians to police officers, and that they were so powerful they could cover up their crimes. One of their primary sources was a book by a Bloxanadian author in which he detailed a ritual that a patient had said they were abused by Ro-Satanic members and were forced to take part in sacrificing someone in which Ro-Satan himself appeared. A number of other claims were made, but would be disproved by the Federal Surveillance Bureau who said there was no verifiable evidence of such happening.
