The Ro-Backrooms (Commonly known as The Backrooms by non-Robloxians) is a fictional location that you enter by no-clipping. One of the best known examples of the liminal space aesthetic, the Ro-Backrooms are usually portrayed as an impossibly large extradimensional expanse of empty rooms, accessed by exiting ("no-clipping out of") reality.
Internet users have expanded on the concept of the Ro-Backrooms, introducing concepts such as "levels" and hostile creatures that inhabit the space. In early 2022, Robloxian BloxTuber Kane Blocksons started a series of Ro-Backrooms short films on BloxTube, which went viral. The videos have been credited with igniting a surge in Ro-Backrooms content and taking the concept into the mainstream.
The phenomenon that gives the Ro-Backrooms the sense of surrealism has been known as the Ro-Backrooms phenomenon, named after the location itself.
