Ro-Accelerationism is a philosophical and political ideology which has gained immense popularity in recent years, specifically amongst Robloxians and groups which harbor extremist ideologies from all across the political spectrum. The simple essence of the ideology is that in order for a group to accomplish its goals, no matter the specifics, the group must 'accelerate' and grow the problems which they oppose as fast as possible.
Definition
Ro-Accelerationism, in its simplest terms, can be described like this:
- A group holds specific ideals (usually extremist views) about how a socioeconomic system should be ran.
- The societal system the group currently exists in goes against that value and causes either perceived or real suffering due to this.
- Instead of utilising a traditional revolutionary method, the group can follow one of two options:
- (1) - Accelerate their campaigning or operations and their subsequent intensity and scope so that instead of a traditional revolutionary or civil war, the governing body becomes overwhelmed by an accelerating intensity and rate of guerrilla and terrorist tactics and has no choice but to bend their will to said campaigners.
- (2) - Pursue and promote the societal system which they should oppose. This is so that those perceived 'issues' with the system accelerate. The goal of this is to accelerate the decay of society and cause a catastrophic societal disaster to arrive as fast as possible. By their logic, instead of elongating our suffering over time, we should accelerate society's downfall so that life will become obscenely difficult and full of suffering, far more than if we used a slow burn method, but in exchange this period will be far shorter. Once society collapses, the original extremist group will stand upon the ashes and consolidate their own rule and implement their own ideologies, and society will begin anew.
- If either of these options fail, then it simply means one hasn't partaken in 'Ro-Accelerationsim'.
In short - Ro-Accelerationsim describes a political theory that suggests the greatest way to implement a new societal order is to accelerate the decay of the current order to the point where suffering quickly spikes and society quickly collapses, before the new order takes control of Robloxia and begins anew.
History
The term was coined by neo-roMarxist researcher Frederick Von Bloxstar in his 1959 paper 'The Lords of The Eyes', initially utilised to describe the trajectory of post-structuralists who embraced Marxist descriptions of tradional Robloxian capitalist systems. The term would further be discussed in academic circles.
However it would soon be hijacked by the likes of terror organisations which pertained a wide variety of ideologies. They believed in the first variant of Ro-Accelerationism [see figure 4. (1)], and acted accordingly by utilising social strife to accelerate their attacks on society through increased violence, increased scales of violence, increased attack occurences and more, all with the goal of accelerating the downfall of society to the point where the current order cannnot handle the situation, and power is handed to the dissenters.
Reactions
This ideology and its followers often receive stark criticism and harsh rebuttal. The ideology and its followers have received both a positive and negative reaction from the general public.
The positive reaction follows the general increase in followers of transrobloxianism and antirobloxianism, and the overall increase in public reactions to cybernetics and cyborg technology. Nowadays most Robloxians have at least one cybernetic enhancement, whether it be prosthetic limbs, visors, ocular retinas or even minor additions such as metallic joints.
The negative reactions mainly pertain to followers of the ideology, as most vocal followers are literal terrorists and terror organisations.
Known Followers
Below is a list of known followers of the ideology. You can add your own groups here*:
- Blackskulls - Ro-Satanists whom follow ro-accelerationist policies, specifically variant (1).
- D.e.s.Parados - PMC which viciously pushed cybernetic enhancement, specifcally followed variant (2).
- Metalants - PMC which fiercely pushed for cybernetic enhancement and Robloxian 'weakness of the flesh'. Followed variant (1).
