The Reptis Rebels were a secessionist faction active during the Waterloo Rebel Crisis of 2022, operating out of the northeastern city of Reptis in the Republic of Waterloo. The rebels began the 1st serious uprisings in the republic’s history—nearly fracturing its territorial unity and exposing the deep unrest beneath 200 years of wartime governance.

Origins

The city of Reptis, had long served as a key economic and logistics hub near the Republic’s western trenchline. However, by the early 2020s, many residents and military units stationed in Reptis expressed frustration with centralized control from the capital, lack of infrastructure investment, corruption scandals in the Senate, and forced deployments to the Tatorian Front with little political support.

These grievances hardened into organized resistance in early May 2022, when disillusioned military officers, former bureaucrats, and separatist agitators declared Reptis independent, forming what became the Reptis Rebellion.

Fighting

Armed primarily with defected Republican weapons, stolen trench artillery, and makeshift drones, they launched the Estrada Offensive on May 10, 2022. Their strategy was brutal: block reinforcements, spawn camp Republican spawns, and destabilize Waterloo troop morale.

They made use of abandoned trench lines, particularly older tunnels from the Great Reconquest (1952), reactivating supply caches and bunker positions thought long buried.

Collapse

Despite early successes, the Reptis Rebels lacked naval and aerial dominance. Republican loyalists from Crescent Hills and Volcano Bay launched a coordinated counteroffensive on June 14, 2022, with armored divisions reclaiming key trench junctions.

After two weeks of fighting and trench raiding, the rebels were surrounded. On June 23, General TheFantasticJojo6 defected again, this time Waterloo and was brung to court and NoodleGuyIsEpic fled.
