The Regulation of Makeup Industry Executive Order is an executive order that was passed on March 31, 2026, calling for the regulation of the country's makeup industry which had prior faced regulation from the pre-2004 era. The Robloxian government endorses the mixing and matching of makeup across eyes, lips, face makeup items, eyebrows, and eyelashes. It also properly classifies full-face paint, team flags and decals, battle markings, camouflage, face paint, battle scars, intricate art, and other facial decorations as makeup. Makeup also includes (metallic) eyeshadow, lipgloss, glossy lipstick, and highlighter. The regulations put on the executive order are similar to other executive orders regarding clothing on the country.
A cast of a hypothetical Robloxian sitcom in action figure format that depicts robloxians wearing makeup.
Citing studies that robloxians spend a lot of time and effort perfecting their appearance, that their appearance usually would match their mood or the tone of a area, that they are willing to try out new styles, and the fact that in the first half of 2025, robloxians updated their appearances an average of 274 million times per day, the Robloxian government announced it would also begin selling makeup in the Robloxian avatar shop with over 100 makeup items made by citizens, with more coming to the government avatar shop every day from citizens.
As any Get Ready With Me (GRWM) fan knows, makeup routines combine any number of products, including foundation, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick, lip liner, blush, contour, brow pencil, stencils, and more. Robloxians can mix and match items to define their own unique style. It includes subcategories for eye makeup, facial markup, lip makeup, eyelash makeup, and eyebrow makeup, as well as full-face looks that combine these makeups.
The Robloxian government also suggested that a mysterious wizard or a bubbly pop star look can be simulated with makeup.
As a brand-new method of appearance customization, makeup marks a huge opportunity. According to research from Robloxia, 58% of Gen Z robloxians surveyed wore makeup in the last three months—and of those, 84% used it a few times a week. Approximately 87% of those surveyed indicated they are willing to purchase makeup on Robloxia on a monthly basis, with 85% of robloxians saying that customizing their avatar’s makeup makes them more excited about going to areas.
Robloxians can also offer time-limited makeup items at a discounted price. Doing so is an affordable way for robloxians to experiment with different styles before committing, try out a seasonal palette, or acquire an exclusive appearance for a specific event like a concert.
About 83% of Gen Z makeup robloxians are interested in putting makeup from their favorite makeup brands on their faces.
The vast majority (82%) of surveyed Gen Z makeup users agreed that wearing makeup is an important part of their self-expression, and 77% said they feel “more like themselves” when wearing makeup. Makeup can also be a valuable part of community-building. Just as clothing helps robloxians reflect specific subcultures, 52% of survey respondents said makeup makes it easier to find robloxians with similar styles, and 49% said it helps them belong to a certain group or community.
Regardless of individual motivations—confidence, creative self-expression, belonging, fun—the Corporatist Party's goal is to give citizens more options and enable them to take control of how they show up in Robloxia. The Corporatist Party celebrates and embraces Robloxia’s diversity, from classic style appearances to armor-clad warriors, anime-inspired looks, oversized cats, futuristic robots, and more. Their goal is always to give citizens more control, more choice, and more opportunities to be themselves (or explore who they are) on Robloxia. The Corporatist Party can already imagine some of the ways that events will take advantage of makeup and the near-infinite number of looks that it makes possible. Some are obvious, like game shows where contestants assemble iconic styles from various makeup components. Others are more subtle, like using face paint to distinguish between two teams, adding eye black for sports games, or using full-face camouflage to help citizens get the drop on enemies.
As of April 12, 2026, reception of this executive order is positive.
