Peninsula City is a city that lies in Southbrick County, South Peninsula. Peninsula City lies 1,682 miles (2,706 km or 9.67 mega-studs) south of ROBLOX City and has a population of 505,200.
Geography
Peninsula City lies at the southeastern tip of the Southbrick Peninsula, a region of Western Robloxia that is unique as it is the only place in the entire country that is surrounded by water on three sides. The city lies directly on the West Robloxian Fault, which has not ruptured there in over 30 years. The last time the fault line ruptured was in 1982. This caused a 7.2-magnitude earthquake to hit the outer suburb of Brickston, causing major damage around the city.
Peninsula City's climate is subtropical and is both influenced by the ocean that surrounds it and warm winds from southwestern Robloxia. The highest reported temperature was 108 degrees in July 1987, while the lowest temperature was 24 degrees, in January 1998. During the summer, severe weather in the area is not uncommon. The high temperatures very often cause thunderstorms to develop during the afternoons. These thunderstorms can be severe at times, bringing large hail, freak lightning and some tornadoes. However, due to the usually sunny climate of the city, it is a very popular tourist destination, especially for people from the northern states.
Transport
Peninsula City lies 520 miles (836 km) south of Highway 1, which was built around that region in 1876 (then known as West ROBLOXian Market Route 1) before the city was planned. There were plans to extend the highway down to the city in the 1980s, but these never came to pass. The city itself is connected to the highway by West ROBLOXian Route 137, which extends from just outside of the suburb of Westerdale.
An international airport, Peninsula City International Airport, lies 17 miles (27 km or 97.7 kilo-studs) west of the city. The airport serves around 6.5 million people yearly.
