Parker Blocks (born August 17, 1932 – July 2, 2015) was a Robloxian musician and songwriter. Throughout his 55 year run, he became majorly known for writing the songs for the singer, Luther Carson, “Roday” (1954) and “A happy man” (1972). He had appeared in many of his songs as a musician for decades. His son, Peter Blocks was also one of the most significant rock singers in Robloxia proving how his family was deeply rooted into music. Parker had won numerous of awards in his life especially one from the Bloxy Awards.
Biography
Early Life
Parker was born on August 17, 1932 and grew up in a family rooted to music. He had grew up at the city of Campa, Blorida. He was born to the parents of Bloxander Green Blocks and Mary Green Blocks who also loved music. As time passed, Parker had the interest of music. However, he was never confident to sing. Hence, he stuck to instrumental music. He was engrossed in the instruments such as the guitar. He also went to numerous of music competitions, yet did not go out well. In 1945, he went to a major competition after a long practice and left an astonishing result that he eventually got first place. He had developed a new interest on the piano after that, believing that was his “destiny”. He had played his grandfather’s piano as a young Robloxian. During the mid 1940s, he had been in his teenage years and often joined small clubs, shows and etc to gain a small reputation. After a few years, he eventually dropped out of college believing that it was not for him.
Career
Parker started his career in 1952 at the age of twenty and had been hired by plenty of singers to play instruments. In fact, Parker had made his own instrumental songs. Such as ‘Glowing Flowers’ (1954) and ‘Days’ (1955) which are also popular pieces of music today. Parker strong interest of piano had helped him gain a good reputation, due to his addicting sounds, catchy tunes and etc. He had mastered piano a lot. He soon became one of the most significant musicians in Robloxia making a lot of songs used for certain things, it could also be airport instrumental music. In 1954, he had been hired by the famous King of Rock and Roll, Luther Carson, and this was a great opportunity. Peter had been his musician for decades. He had appeared in many of Luther Carson’s influential and popular songs, especially in the 1950s during the peak of him. Thanks to this opportunity, Peter could receive fame and reputation. By the 1960s, he also had created a numerous of his own songs which had gotten popular. Some of them were important for some certain uses such as background music, yet they were very catchy. In 1984, he was in a major contribution with some musicians and Thomas Bloxy on a song called “What a Greenery”. He had lived a fulfilling career.
Retirement and Death
Peter had retired in the 1990s and later focused more on his personal life. In 2015 he eventually died peacefully in his sleep. Peter remained one of the best musicians of all time and his legacy continued.
