The Park Expo Collective (PEC) is a convention centre and event hall organization located in the city of Old Town Lake, and operated by the Bloxburg Regional Entertainment Association. The collective runs large-scale expo events across its main centre and its two affiliated event halls located in Bloxburg. It gets its name from Park Expo Old Town Lake.

PEC originated as RTPR (Roblox Theme Parks & Rides), a permanent trade fair that hosted several themed events for the theme park and amusement trade community before rebranding as a collective of event halls. In 2016, the brand evolved into Park Expo Collective, expanding its focus beyond a single niche while retaining its roots in theme park and ride experiences.

History

Park Expo Collective traces its origins to the Roblox Theme Parks & Rides (RTPR) brand, which focused on bringing together developers and fans of virtual theme parks. Under the RTPR banner, many flagship events were organised, including Fan Fest, Scream Con, and the RTPR Awards, which celebrated achievements within the Roblox theme park community.

These early events created a foundation of regular seasonal conventions and award shows that highlighted creativity and collaboration. As interest in cross-community collaboration increased, the organisers recognised an opportunity to create a more expansive umbrella that could welcome a wider range of Roblox creators.

During the 2019 storm, the original venue was badly damaged, this cause severe building damage. This led to the formation of Park Expo Collective, which shifted the focus from a single theme park network to a broader collective model. The new identity positioned PEC as a central hub for events that promote discovery, networking, and empowerment for creators across multiple Roblox communities.

Mission and vision

PEC’s core mission is to empower creators by giving them the tools, visibility, and space to bring their work to a wider audience. The collective aims to bridge the gap between developers, communities, and audiences by creating structured, well-produced events where projects can be discovered and celebrated.

The vision for PEC emphasises collaboration and innovation, with events designed to help creators form long-lasting connections and partnerships. Whether a participant is a solo developer or a large development group, PEC seeks to provide equal opportunities for exposure without unnecessary restrictions.

Events and Programming

PEC events are structured as multi-area virtual expos hosted in custom Roblox venues. Within each event, attendees can explore large booths, clothing stalls, conference halls, and ride showcases built by different communities and developers.

Programming within a typical PEC expo includes:

  • Large exhibitor booths where groups can advertise projects, communities, and ongoing games.
  • Clothing stalls that allow exhibitors to sell in-game merchandise such as outfits and accessories.
  • Conference halls used for talks, Q&A panels, and project showcases to live audiences.
  • Collectable emblems that attendees can earn by taking part in the event, visiting specific locations, or engaging with partner activities.

In addition to general expos, PEC runs seasonal and themed events including Halloween expos, Christmas expos, and dedicated fan celebrations that spotlight different parts of the Roblox theme park scene. These events often reuse and enhance the convention-centre-style layout, with updated decor and content tailored to the season.

PEC regularly highlights stories from its exhibitors and partners through creator spotlights and testimonials. These spotlights give groups an opportunity to describe how taking part in PEC has helped them reach new audiences and showcase their work. Examples include Rev's Big Adventure Theme Park, which credits PEC with providing a booth platform for sharing its creations while exploring others’ work. Another highlight comes from RSFA, which notes the value of being able to bring its attractions to the PEC backlot for players to experience.

News about ongoing events, lounges, and collaborations is shared via social platforms such as BlueSky, as well as through the PEC site’s news section. Posts commonly include announcements of new in-experience areas, seasonal messages, and competition or placement results. These updates are typically published under the wider TeamTBM ecosystem, connecting PEC with other related projects like MovieWorld events or associated lounges. This creates a broader network of experiences linked by shared branding and communities.

Participation and Access

Prospective participants can apply to attend as Booth Exhibitors, Conference Speakers, or Ride Innovators through the applications section of the website. Separate agreements outline responsibilities, branding rules, and conduct during events for each participation type.
