Otto von Ruhrblox was a Romarkian merchant and gold prospector. Between 1797 and 1805, he led several expeditions that contributed to the colonization of the New Robloxia Mountains.
Life
He was born in Romarkia in 1765 into a merchant family. From 1786 to 1792, he took part in expeditions in South Bloxmerica, mainly in Bloxrazil and Perublox. In the following years, he sailed in the ports of Eurobloxia, selling goods. When the Napoleonic Wars broke out, he returned to Romarkia, but in 1795 he decided to move to Telamon Islands, as he had heard about various resources that could be found in the mountains there. During the April Uprising, he stayed in the capital. He survived the pacification of the uprising. In 1797, King Makia offered him to lead an expedition to the New Robloxia Mountains. During his journey, he managed to reach many places where he found precious metals. After the expedition, King Makia declared the mountains his private estate. In the following years, Otto von Ruhrblox took part in expeditions, during which he searched for raw materials and founded settlements, to which settlers from both Telamonian and Eurobloxian soon arrived. After the end of the expedition period, he settled in the mountains. After the February Uprising break out in 1812, he refused to participate and returned to Eurobloxia, where he settled permanently. In the years 1819-1823, he searched for gold in Robloxia, but when he found almost nothing, he stopped his activity. He died in 1829 from pneumonia.
