Operation Deep Pick was a Slender strike carried out on the South Bloxveldian cruiser, SBS Mendi.

Planning

The Slender government, led by Loajo Subese, sent a statement to South Bloxveldian Prime Minister Malden Nomen via social media on June 7th stating that the current exploitation of Slenders in South Bloxveld will not go unnoticed and shall not continue. He followed up by explaining military action was not off the table. Angered, a training exercise hosted by Bloxveldian Admiral Daniel Bebarel for the following day, was quickly adjusted to get within a few kilometers of Slender waters. When the exercise occurred, Slender fighter jets were sent to international waters to monitor the ships, getting within a kilometer of the formation.

The following week, South Bloxveldian jets began to push Slender air space. Loajo Shubese sent an official warning to Malden Nomen, demanding they halt. The warning was rejected the following day. Vice Minister Shubese quickly began organizing a strike force in case of escalation. This proved a good call as on June 15th, ships once again entered within ten kilometers of Slender waters and were scared off by the fleet.

Operation

On the early morning of June 21st, the South Bloxveldian cruiser SBS Mendi began sailing. In the most daring operation yet, South Bloxveld wished to go inside Slender waters to test the limits of their defenses. Following this, the information was relayed to Slender command by an anonymous spy. Vice Minister then gave a statement, demanding that Prime Minister Malden Nomen is to halt. No response was given.

On the morning of June 22nd, at 4:09 AM, the SBS Mendi entered Slender waters. By 4:15, the strike group was sent out. At 4:19, a final warning was given before the strike would take place. It was ignored. At 4:27, SBS Mendi detected a signature on radar, and began to quickly move out of Slender waters, and began contact with the jets. Their calls were ignored. At 4:31, a single missile was sent towards the jets. The missile was dodged after flares were deployed. A minute later, eight two hundred kilogram bombs landed on the cruiser, killing 105 sailors, injuring 400, and causing major damage to the ship.
