The Greater Republic of New Gaborick, or more commonly known as New Gaborick, is a country in Central Bloxveld located on the equator and bordered by Equatorial Guiblox to the northwest, Camerooni to the north, and Congblox to the west and south.
History
Colonization (1910-1960)
In 1910, Rogaulia sent an expeditionary force to colonize the area which is now New Gaborick, and succeeded in incorporating the surrounding area into the nation. After that, Rogaulia began heavily extracting resources from the new colony.
Independence (1960)
With the rise of both anti-colonialism and an independence movement led by Omaniablox Amani, Rogaulia gave independence to New Gaborick. They quickly rose to power and began a shaky, but powerful government. The nation's economy quickly rose as it began exporting valuable resources to several nations across the globe.
Communist Coup (1978)
In April of 1978, General Chabo Omeia began a coup that took over the entire nation's government, and sided with the Tovokian Union. This was met with a mixed response from the public, with some citizens praising the actions of Chabo and others said that New Gaborick was falling to a tyrannical government.
Rule of Tyranny (1978-1989)
After Chabo's death in 1979 due to a car accident, the powerful dictator Braia Obloxia took over the nation, with an iron fist over the public. He sentenced anyone who disagreed with him to prison or death.
Vertiaville Uprising (1989)
In June of 1989, at the height of the summer months, inspired by protests in East Romarika, thousands of people rushed the streets of the nations capital in a mass protest on several new laws. They were fired at by Baria's troops. The protesters went back inside, but this time their intentions were different. While many protesters were being arrested, they attacked and killed soldiers, stealing their guns and using them to fight back against the dictator's army. They returned to the streets and put up shop in a large apartment complex, which caused raids on government buildings, such as the police headquarters. When news broke, they were supported by Robloxian forces, wishing for control over the valuable oil industry there. This revolution lasted for several months until Braia was captured and executed in December of the same year.
Recovery from tyranny (1990-2009)
With Robloxian support, New Gaborick got back up on its feet. In return, New Gaborick supplied Robloxia with cheap oil and resources.
Recent years (2009-)
New Gaborick is now a tourist hotspot due to its gorilla population and its local wildlife.
