Nanoha: Girl From The Near Future (Neo-Japanese: なのはーちゃんの物語, Hepburn: Nano-Chan no Monogatari, lit. Nano's Story) is a science fiction Neo-Japanese film created by Seven Arcs and Masaki Tsuzuki. It was initially aired on October 1st, 1989 on the Neo-Japanese television network, Maruko Nishi before being exported to Robloxia in 1993 by Ro-Saban Entertainment under the localization title, "Nanoha: The Girl From The Near Future".

Plot

The film is about Nanoha Takamachi, a 10-year-old angel girl from the year 2079 who was sent to 86 years in the past to prevent the invention of a nuclear weapon that will cause nearly all of the population in Roblox to disappear permanently, in which she encounters a young girl named Junko Satou (June Satou in the dub), who just happens to be the inventor of the said nuclear weapon in the future.

At the end of the film, Nanoha returns to the future after succeeding in preventing the nuclear weapon from being invented by Junko.

The movie is universally rated “Under 9”, as it was promoted as and is often considered to be a children’s anime film as there is no inappropriate content that would offend parents, and it was designed to be a wholesome movie aimed at young children, despite the presence of nuclear weapons.

Impact

In the years following its release, it has become one of the most famous edutainment films internationally, as it is frequently mentioned as one of the most influential anime films in an international market due to being one of the first educational anime films to be released outside of the country. It was edutainment due to it educating robloxians on the dangers of nuclear weapons.

The film has been dubbed in over 100 languages. Combined with the popularity of the anime film, it is the reason why various Nanoha merchandise was created (some of it being rare), and the reason why nuclear weapons have become dangerous.
