Mountil County is a municipal district in the Egbert Mountains. It is the smallest district in Bloxalberta. The municipal office is located in Ro-Wabasca.

History

It was known as ID No. 278 until that district amalgated into Hometin County and the district turned into Mountil No. 79 until 2011, when it changed into Mountil County.

Geography

Mountil County is known for holding the Festival Mountains and most of the region is fully inside of the Egbert Mountains. Ro-Wabasca is in the plainy zone. West Birchland, and Parksland counties to it's north, Bloxleduc County to it's east, and Hometin County to it's south. It borders BC on the west.

In the 2021 Census of Population, the district had approx. 68,771 people, a change of 3.3% of its 2016 census of 68,514.
