Michael Raymond Carter (born September 12, 1945) is a Robloxian actor, singer, and entertainer whose career spanned over five decades. Carter is widely known for his work in film and music during the 1960s and 1970s, being well recognised for hits such as Summer Days (1965), Like That (1980) and Diamond Streets (1971).
Early life
Michael Raymond Carter was born on September 12, 1945 in Fairmont, a village in the northern plains of North Bloxifornia. His father, Jack Thomas Carter worked in a chocolate, while his mother, whose name is not known, was employed as a seamstress. Carter developed an interest in music at an early age and began performing in local talent competitions during his teenage years. Carter graduated from Fairmont Secondary School in 1963. Shortly after graduation, he briefly worked in a record store while pursuing a career in entertainment. However, he did not apply in any college.
Life and career
Carter's music career began in 1965 when he signed a recording contract with Silver Star Records. On the same year, he released Summer Days, which achieved moderate commercial success and was followed by several charting releases. His first studio album, A New Beginning (1967) met massive success. During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Carter released a series of successful singles such as Hold On Tonight (1969), Diamond Streets (1971), and Forever Young (1973). Carter also acted in a wide range of films such as Long Story (1971) which was a massive hit. In 1980, he released the song “Like That”, which became his best single in his entire career.
Personal life
Michael Raymond Carter is married to Mary Carter, since 1970 and they had three children. In November 2025, Carter was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease but manages it behind the scenes.
