Info
Marquette is an isolated city located on the shore of one of the Great Lakes of Robloxia. The population is 371,322 as of 2024.
Marquette is the biggest city without a freeway.
Marquette is a very large major city and only major city in the Upper Peninsula of Wisconsin.
Hospitals
The UP Health System is the main hospital in the city.
There are 16 hospitals in the city, including the main.
City Life
Marquette is isolated, and surrounded by mountains and forests. The nearest city to Marquette is 50-60 miles away.
Winter months are rough on roads, since snow comes down once or twice a week with at least two to four feet of snow in that timeline. About 15 plows are on the roads after its done snowing.
During spring, to prevent flooding from melting snow, small vents are placed for water (that was originally snow) would drain into sewers or into the Great Lakes.
Exiting or entering the city is nearly impossible right now, due to roads being closed down after Robloxians have reportedly vanished or teleported somewhere, and were reported missing.
Mountains
Mount Marquette (South)
Mt. Marquette is moderately accessible by car or foot, which makes it a quick trip to the top, but once a Robloxian sees the view, they are sure to slow down to take it all in.

Sugarloaf Mountain (North)
The summit of Sugarloaf Mountain provides panoramic views from three observation platforms, each with distinct vantage points that offer a serene setting for nature watching and photography.
One can view Marquette's skyline from both mountains.
High-Rise Buildings
The tallest building in Marquette was originally The Lemonade Lighter Tower, until it was demolished after complaints during the "Rush Month of Marquette Disaster", which was when portals appeared downtown and caused a massacre in the city after 2 weeks. Three weeks later, the mayor, TommyWIntilted, called militia to escort teleporters out. About 90 million teleporters were escorted.
History
1826
in 1826, the Upper Peninsula of Wisconsin was first inhabited. Marquetteville was its first settlement.
1835
Marquetteville grew to 15,000 Robloxians.
1858
Marquetteville's name changed to Marquette.
1887
Marquette became the second most isolated town in Robloxia.
1910
Marquette got its first vehicles.
The population was 105,788 people, causing the town to become a city.
1953
Marquette is renamed to Wisconsin City. It is renamed back shortly after.
1958
TommyWIntilted was elected mayor.
1977
The Sawyer Air Force Base was built.
1988
First department stores built.
1992
The Sawyer Air Force Base was closed to Robloxia Air Force operations. The Marquette County airport ended up closing 2 years later, and the Sawyer Air Force Base was turned into an international airport.
2005
The UP Health system hospital turned 100. Unfortunately, it collapsed shortly after. It was due to the building's apparent instability that was underestimated. The hospital was recovered from rubble and made taller.
2023
Marquette went into a huge population boom, from 200,000 in 2022, to around 110 million by 2023. Reporters saw a lapis-colored portal with humans raining on it, which explained the population boom. The first report of the lapis-colored portal happened between January 3 and January 20, when it appeared to evaporate. The second report happened on January 27, which caused it to become closer to 160 million. It was about to challenge Brookhaven's record when the portals evaporated for good, which started a massacre after 14 days caused by humans trying to get out of Roblox. A human destroyed the Lemonade Lighter Tower. 21 days later, the mayor decided to hire the Robloxian militia to escort them out of Roblox and to reactivate the portals for one last time, this time being an enter-only portal.
90 million teleporters were escorted by militia soon afterward and the portals were reactivated, sending every teleporter back to Earth, meaning Marquette was back to 70 million.
Unfortunately, Marquette will have to recover from quite a lot of damage, and a month after the massacre, plans were made to reconstruct the city. In one month, 20 million were escorted, bringing the city down to 50 million, and there will be another escort to identify every teleporter. This brought the city's population back to 360,000.
As of now, Ro-Route 41 is temporarily inaccessible from both the inside and outside of Marquette due to lockdown, making transportation on that highway difficult through the peninsula. Once Marquette eliminates lockdown, the city will be accessible again and so will the main highway going through it. For now, detours are needed.
2024
Marquette was going to be reconstructed and recovered due to disappearing and the portal massacre. The city is planned to make a recovery on July 2024, but it is unknown if the recovery efforts were realized. TommyWIntilted also became longest serving mayors in Robloxia, with 66 years in service.
Another portal incident occurred on May 8, 2024, resulting in the city population increasing to 58,259,444 again before decreasing as teleporters were escorted again.
Currently, the city has a population of 371,322.
Airport
The Sawyer International Airport is 16 miles outside the city.
It takes about 6 minutes/6 hours to get there as the speed limit is 55 MPH down Wisconsin State Route 553.
WSR 553 is the only route to get to the airport.
It takes 1-2 minutes for a plane to get from the airport to hover over Marquette.
