Mae Hong Son is a town in north-west Thailand. It is in the hills, near the border with Myanmar along the banks of a river. As of 2018, the town had 7,066 inhabitants. The town covers the tambon of a district. Mae Hong Son is 883 km (3.15 mega-studs) north of Bangkok and 251 km (896 kilo-studs) north-west of Chiang Mai.
