Lockhart Severus and Hernmort’s Downfall is a book made by Joanne Granger. It is about the wizard, Lockhart Severus, who had just graduated from the Hogwarts University of Witchcraft and Wizardry, to defeat Tom Marvolo Riddle (Voldemort)’s son, Hernmort Riddle. The book only has 132 pages, making it the shortest book in the Lockhart Severus Series.
Book
Chapter 1: Planning (Pages 1 to 44)
Lockhart Severus meets Jackson Davis, also a dark wizard. They both graduated from the Hogwarts University of Witchcraft and Wizardry a few months back. He tells Jackson that he wants to kill Hernmort, which Davis had planned the same as well because Delphi and Hernmort killed his brother, Jacob Davis. Then, the two friends meet Rose Granger.
Chapter 2: Hernmort’s Horcruxes (Pages 45 to 55)
Rose, Jackson and Lockhart find out that Hernmort has two horcruxes. They later destroy one horcrux which is unknown and then destroys Hernmort’s secondary wand. Hermort becomes mortal again after this.
Chapter 3: Rose departs (Pages 56 to 58)
This is the shortest chapter in the book. Rose Granger has to depart to her family due to an emergency and would be back in a year. Lockhart and Jackson say goodbye to Rose.
Chapter 4: Hernmort’s history and Jackson’s Brother (Pages 59 to 83)
They later find Hernmort’s diary, showing what Hernmort has done. Eighteen years ago, Hernmort broke into Jacob Davis’s dormitory and killed him. Jacob Davis was known to be a good wizard, but incompetent. He also worked for the late Voldemort (Tom Riddle). Hernmort was famous after that for two reasons. One was that he was Voldemort’s son and another was that he killed Jacob. Due to his death, Jackson Davis was bullied a lot in Hogwarts. So Jackson later had a dream to kill Hernmort, which he would accomplish later on. However, in the second book, the Death Eaters resurrect Jacob Davis. This chapter explains Jacob Davis death scenario. This is the paragraph on it:
(Granger 67) Hernmort had known Jacob Davis. They were best friends because both were Death Eaters. But one night, Hernmort betrayed Davis. Delphi commanded Hernmort to kill him. She thought Jacob was not a loyal servant. Hernmort blasted into Jacob’s dormitory while he was packing his things as Jacob was in his final year at Hogwarts University of Witchcraft and Wizardry, in-fact, Jacob graduated from it. The Hogwarts Express back home was delayed by two hours because Jacob was missing. Staff went to Jacob’s dormitory and found him lying on his bed dead. His body was buried in Hogsmeade. Jackson Davis was bullied on the way home, while Lockhart Severus was fine. Both Jackson and Lockhart were in their sixth year, one year away from graduating. Little did they know, Hernmort cast a charm on Jacob that he be resurrected in two years, which happened.
Chapter 5: Azkaban City (Pages 83 to 121)
Hernmort escaped to Azkaban after he found out that Jackson and Lockhart were after him. When guards at Azkaban saw his arrival, Hernmort was arrested there. The rest of this chapter is Hernmort being tortured there.
Chapter 6: Hernmort’s Death (Pages 122 to 132)
Jackson Davis and Lockhart Severus later arrive at Azkaban (via a bus from Hogsmeade) to kill Hernmort. They travel to the prison, where Delphi Voldemort Riddle, Hernmort sister, is keeping Hernmort safe. Jackson Davis later disarms Delphi and Hernmort using the disarming charm (Expelliarmus). Lockhart and Jackson use the killing curse (Avada Kedavra) at Hernmort and Delphi. Delphi fights back on her Avada Kedavra curse as well, but her curse rebounds on her and then she disintegrates into ashes. Hernmort later collapses and dies. Hernmort: Oh shoot Delphi, they’re here to kill us.
