The bombing of the Liberty skyscraper was an event that occurred on the morning of March 21, 2015 by terrorist Terry McVevil who, using a time bomb, blew up much of the building. This caused around 210 deaths and more than 4,000 injuries.
The terrorist entered the building and went to the seventeenth floor and entered the bathroom on that floor and planted a time bomb. The janitor was the first to notice the planted bomb, but when he realized there was a bomb, it was too late.
Background
This building had a shooting, but prior the terrorist attack, there was never a bomb threat.
Planning
The idea of the terrorist attack was the brainchild of a friend of Terry named Gordon Greenday. They both planned the attack in late 2014. When March 21 arrived, Terry called Gordon but he did not answer the phone, Terry immediately went to Gordon's house but Terry had to do the attack solo as the police were arresting Gordon because he illicitly purchased weapons.
The original plans for the attack were to use the bombs and plant them in the following buildings:
- Liberty Building
- ROBLOX Stock Exchange Building
- Robloxity Town Hall
These attacks were to be done with the help of his allies. After the Liberty Building was attacked and the city emergency services were in place, Terry would directly go to the Town Hall. In the town hall, he would plant a bomb in the back of the building since the bomb was planted. His allies would later pick up him in a van to the ROBLOX Stock Exchange Building. In the building, he would enter armed with his friends and one of his allies would plant the bomb. They will later flee to Bloxico.
However, the attacks on the Town Hall and the ROBLOX Stock Exchange Building could not be carried out since many of his friends were captured by agents. However, the mayor was evacuated as a precaution, while the town hall was checked by the bomb squad and the police. Due to all those unexpected turns, Terry fled solo to Bloxico. However. at the Robloxia-Bloxico border, border officials and agents detained and arrested Terry.
