Krabi is a town on the west coast of southern Thailand at the mouth of a river where it empties into a bay. As of 2020, the town had a population of 32,644. Tourism is an important industry. Krabi is 783 km (2.8 mega-studs) south of Bangkok by road.

Krabi has many cliffs and caves where ancient color paintings, stone tools, beads, pottery and skeletal remains have been found.

Some 200 years ago, the prince of the town founded an elephant camp in Krabi - they roamed wild in those days and were rounded up and taken to work.

Krabi is one of the most relaxing places in Thailand.
