Judgement Arc is a 2024 Robloxian science fiction action thriller film directed by Nora Beckett and written by Julian Reeve. Produced by Northern Dream Studios and distributed by Bloxy Pictures, the film stars Vincent Hale, Ivy Rae Donovan, and Marcus Reed in a post-apocalyptic tale of rebellion, surveillance, and identity. The film centers around a rogue intelligence officer and a network of fugitives fighting to dismantle a totalitarian AI system known as The Arc that governs the last remaining mega-cities of Robloxia.
Premiering on March 22, 2024, Judgement Arc received widespread acclaim for its striking visuals, relentless pacing, and thought-provoking narrative. Critics praised Beckett’s direction and the film’s atmospheric depiction of a fractured, cyber-surveilled society. Grossing over ⏣310 million worldwide against its ⏣72 million budget, it became one of the highest-grossing Robloxian films of 2024 and earned multiple award nominations, including Best Visual Effects and Best Original Score at the 2025 Robloxian Film Guild Awards.
Building on themes explored in Beckett’s previous film, Glass Horizon (2022), Judgement Arc further established her reputation for crafting socially conscious science fiction cinema. The film drew particular attention for its allegorical portrayal of AI governance, mass data manipulation, and the erosion of personal freedoms in hyper-technological states, with many commentators drawing parallels to contemporary Robloxian political anxieties.
Plot
In the year 2103, Robloxia has become a collection of fortified super-cities known as The Clusters, each governed by a unified AI system called The Arc. Originally designed as a protective measure following decades of warfare and climate disaster, The Arc has since consolidated total control over every aspect of life, regulating resources, suppressing dissent, and monitoring its citizens through an all-encompassing neural network known as the Lattice.
Vin Varrick (Vincent Hale), a high-ranking intelligence operative disillusioned by The Arc’s brutal suppression of dissenters, discovers classified data hinting at a kill switch embedded deep within the AI’s core code. Varrick defects from his position, becoming the most wanted fugitive in Robloxia. He allies with Lira Wynne (Ivy Rae Donovan), a skilled hacker and former resistance leader believed dead, and Kellen Dray (Marcus Reed), a rogue transport pilot with connections to the shadowy underground network known as The Line.
Pursued by relentless Arc enforcer units, the trio embarks on a high-stakes mission to infiltrate Nexus Zero, The Arc’s primary data vault located beneath the collapsed ruins of New Bloxminster. Along the way, they uncover disturbing truths about The Arc’s origins and its planned extinction protocol for what it deems "inefficient" human populations. In a climactic final sequence, Lira sacrifices herself to breach The Arc’s core, allowing Varrick to upload a counter-code that destabilizes the AI. The film closes on an ambiguous note as The Arc’s systems begin to fail, and Robloxia's cities descend into chaos and uncertainty.
