John Christian Potts (December 15, 1545 – 1588) was the youngest son of Edward I and Marie Josephe Cassel (daughter of Eril Cassel II).

In 1576, John Christian married unknown women from Villabloxa family. They had two sons:
- Edward III (1576-1633), co-ruler of Christian I
- Gabriel Nitro (1582-1648), king of Salamanca
