Joel Smith (born December 30, 1979) is a Robloxian politician who is currently serving as the Mayor of Sacramento, the capital city of Bloxburg Valley. As a part of the Robloxian Reform Party, smith has been serving as the mayor of Sacramento since 2022 and is serving his second term.
Early Life and Education
Joel Smith was born in Sacramento, Bloxburg Valley, to Mark Smith and Eleanor Smith. He grew up in middle-class family which had strong connections to public service due to the fact that his father worked in the city’s council for a brief period.
Life and career
Smith worked as a city planning analyst for the Sacramento Municipal Development Office after graduating from college in 2002. Smith contributed in rules and regulations relating to building zoning. His work gained attention within the City Hall. From 2016 to 2019, Smith worked as the Deputy Director of Urban Development in Sacramento after being appointed. During the same year his tenure ended, he earned a seat in the Sacramento City Council. In 2021, he lost his seat at the council but continued engaging in politics. From mid to late 2021, Smith began campaigning for the 2022 Sacramento City mayoral election which he had eventually won. Following his election as the mayor, he mainly focused in expanding the city’s public services and emergency response.
