Hurricane Ethan was notorious for being the second most intense storm in 2022 after Hurricane Gabriel. Ethan was a Bloxasia storm that made landfall on the Pacifico Coast with winds of 167 mph (269 km/h) and a pressure of 922 millibars (27.23 inches of mercury), killing 59,694 in and around the Pacifico region.

Meteorological Synopsis:

Ethan formed when a tropical wave passed over warm waters on January 16. The wave helped to produce a tropical depression on January 18, just off Bloxasia. Being a slow-moving storm, it quickly gained energy from the 79*F (26.1*C) waters, eventually reaching tropical storm status twelve hours later. It was given the name Ethan. It reached winds of 53 mph on January 19.

Ethan continued to intensify, and by January 20, it was a monstrous Category 1 hurricane, with a diameter of 426 miles and a wind speed of 82 mph (132 km/h). The storm system was also reported to be moving at a forward speed of 10 mph, continuing to grow even stronger. The storm stayed at Category 1 intensity for four more days, before it came across a massive area of water, estimated to have been 77*F (25*C). The storm quickly grew in intensity, and just 40 hours before making landfall on Mad City, it was estimated to have been packing winds of up to 117 mph (189 km/h) and a pressure of 963 millibars (28.44 inches of mercury). It hit Mad City at full force on January 25, as a 124-mph hurricane, with a diameter of 320 miles (515 km).

After passing over the city, the storm continued to intensify, eventually reaching wind speeds of 146 mph (234 km/h) and a pressure of 937 millibars by the time it hit Southern Palm County on January 28 as a 284-mile-wide (457-km-wide) storm.

Thereafter, the storm went through an eyewall replacement cycle, and it weakened from 146 mph to 103 mph (166 km/h), but it grew to a diameter of 426 miles. It hit Miablox with wind speeds of 114 mph (183 km/h) and a pressure of 963 millibars on January 29. It then increased back into a Category 4 hurricane, hitting Northern Palm County as a 142-mph (229 km/h) storm, with a pressure of 941 millibars and a diameter of 320 miles (515 km) just 13 hours later.

The storm then crossed into Myrtleblox on January 29 as a low-end Category 3 hurricane, with a pressure of 964 millibars and winds of 114 mph (183 km/h). With ocean waters of 28*C (83*F), though, the storm intensified into a monstrous storm, with a diameter of 426 miles. It gained a 14-mile-wide eye, with a radius of maximum winds extending 18 miles from the eye. A Hurricane Hunter plane recorded wind speeds of up to 167 mph (269 km/h) and a pressure of 922 millibars (27.23 inHg), making Ethan Roblox's second strongest hurricane in 2022 after Hurricane Gabriel. The storm had hurricane-force winds extending 110 miles (177 km) east of the eye, with tropical gale-force winds extending 231 miles (372 km) east of the eye, while winds exceeding 100 mph extended 28 miles (46 km) from the eyewall. The same gales extended 195 miles (315 km) west of the eye, affecting affected areas with 45 mph (72 km/h) winds and tides of five feet (1.5 meters) above normal.

Ethan increased in forward speed to 20 mph (32 km), slamming into Pacifico at peak strength at 7:15 AM on January 31, with wind speeds of 166 mph and an eye diameter of 21 miles (34 km). The storm continued inland at a phenomenal rate, even reaching as far as Harold with winds of up to 78 mph (126 km/h). It finally dissipated over Arsenal City on February 2.

Impact:

Hurricane Ethan left a path of destruction throughout the West Coast of Robloxia, especially Pacifico.

Aftermath:

Hurricane Ethan left a total of 65,379 dead in the West Coast of Robloxia, and it caused a total of R$184.8 trillion in damage. The Robloxia Guards were overwhelmed in the city of Pacifico. Many areas were simply abandoned.

For many of the areas, it will likely take decades for the areas to heal.
