Hokanda Highway, also known as Furry Highway 2, is the main highway in Hokanda. It is maintained by Global Furry Agency Headquarters with the express lanes and two exits being maintained by Global Furry Agency Headquarters Turnpike Authority. It used to maintain the whole highway as it used to be a toll road until 2024. However, tolls on the express lanes have not ended.
Description
Furry Highway 2 (FH-2) begins from the Pacifico - Hokanda Border in a trumpet interchange. It is the first exit. Two kilometers later, the tolled reversible express lanes begin. After four kilometers, the Hokanda Avenue exit begins. Hokanda Avenue is the main frontage road for FH-2. Edloe Boulevard exit comes in two miles later, but the exit is only accessible from the express lanes. Mason Bellfort Road’s exit is next. After the Mason Bellfort Rd exit, a Global Furry Agency Headquarters checkpoint comes in. The FurryTAG HQ exit comes in right after the checkpoint. Four miles later, the next exit is the Furry Federation of Bloxjiado’s consulate in Hokanda. The Embassy District of Hokanda exit comes in next. The eighth exit is a crucial exit as it is the exit of Hokanda Regional Airport. This exit is a tolled exit due to requirements to pay parking at the airport. Another crucial exit leads to the GFAH tower. This is the main building for GFAH. This is also a tolled exit due to parking again needing to be paid. After this exit, the highway enters Downtown Hokanda. There is an exit for Downtown Hokanda which is the last exit.
Toll Collection (1990-2024)
In 1990, tolls began on the highway, four years after the highway was built. From 1990-2001, tolls were fully cash tolls until FurryTAG was made. Hokanda Road Agency themselves maintained this highway from 1990 until it merged into Hokanda Tollway Council in 2001. Hokanda Highway became a fully electronic toll road in 2012. In 2024, tolls ended as Global Furry Agency Headquarters Turnpike Authority noted that 74% residents in Hokanda avoided tolls. However, the 26% residents had a FurryTAG. GFAHTA then kept the express lane tolls as it was more used than the main lanes. In 2021, they made FurryTAG mandatory to pay for parking at Hokanda Regional Airport and the GFAH Tower (Site 01-B). This is the main reason why Exits 8 and 9 are still tolled. From
