Highway Ride City, formerly Walisi, is a mid-sized urban center located in South Bloxifornia, a state in Robloxia, known for its successful freeway networks and its unique reputation as the "City on the Move". It is located in Lakeview County. With a population of approximately 450,392 as of the 2024 census, the city is a critical transportation area in the state, connecting major metropolitan areas through its extensive highway systems. The city’s name comes from its road infrastructure, with also a major highway, Bloxifornian Highway, going through the city. Highway Ride City also has a strong relation with cars and other vehicles, connecting to the name.
Founded in the late 19th century as a medium sized settlement along a critical trade route, the city grew rapidly during the post-war economic boom of the 1950s, when highway construction started and was eventually built in 1952. Today, it is a growing urban area with a large economy relying on transportation, tourism, businesses, and automotive manufacturing. In addition to its industrial focus, the city has a mix of urban and suburban neighborhoods in different sections, a large downtown area filled with shopping centers and entertainment venues, and vast public spaces such as Highway Park. Highway Park is considerably large occupying significant land. There is also a museum called Highway Museum, which is a quite famous museum among the state. The city was renamed to Highway Ride City from Walisi in 1953 following the construction of Bloxifornian Highway.
History
Highway Ride City traces its origins to the 1870s, when it was established as a small trading post near two major regional routes. Early settlers were usually merchants and ranchers who liked the area's location due to its rich resources. The discovery of certain things in the late 1880s brought an influx of workers and investors, transforming the settlement into a bustling town. Its early economy relied on agriculture, mining, and small-scale manufacturing.
The city’s transformation began during the post-Roblox War II era, when South Bloxifornia rapidly developed its agriculture. Due to its popular position, state planners designated Highway Ride City as a highway network place. By the 1950s, multiple interstates were in the city, attracting businesses that relied on road-based things.
In the 1980s, Highway Ride City earned its motto as the "City on the Move" its reliance on car, its major road networks and successful transportation. The city’s economy rose during this period, with the establishment of automotive assembly plants, logistics companies, and a large tourism industry relating to roads, vehicles and the unique name of the city.
