This tornado outbreak was a tornado outbreak took place on August 3, 2020 in Hedge Island, with the bulk of activity on 12:00 PM, which resulted in the Storm Prediction Center in Hedge Island issuing a high-risk outlook for the entire island. At least 2 tornadoes were confirmed.

Tornadoes

An EF4 tornado struck Hedge Island on August 3. This tornado caused significant structural damage to homes and businesses in Hedge Island, causing 4 deaths. The top-level of a motel was flattened and sustained collapse. However, several retail buildings and other structures were spared from the destruction potential of the tornado. Several trees were debarked in the island. It was rated EF4, just shy of EF5, with wind speeds of 200 MPH.


A brief EF5 tornado caused significant debarking of several trees as well as total destruction to a structure. Nothing will be left of the structure but moving slabs.
