Haruhi Suzumiya (涼宮ハルヒ, Suzumiya Haruhi) is an Neo-Japanese science fiction franchise that was first created in 1993. It initially began as a series of light novels for teens and adults, before the series was adapted into a 2-season family friendly TV show by Neo-Kyoto Animation in April 1996 (the TV series ended in October 1999).
Premise
The series is about the high school life of Haruhi Suzumiya, a young active teenager and her unusual antics, despite being about Haruhi; the series is narrated by teenage boy Kyon, Haruhi begins a club called the SOS Bridage (short for Spreading Excitement all Over the world with Haruhi Suzumiya Bridage)
Later in the series, the series introduced three other main characters, Mikuru Asahina, Yuki Nagato, and Itsuki Koizumi.
References
in the Lucky Star anime (1997-1998), there are a bunch of references to the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Both the Neo-Japanese and Robloxian Voice actors for both of the main characters are the same (in Neo-Japanese, both Konata and Haruhi are voiced by Aya Hirano, while in Robloxia, both of them are voiced by Wendee Lee)

- It has a official website called SuzumiyaHaruhi.co.njp, which was registered on September 21st, 2004 and previously had a bunch of games related to the franchise, most of them that were made in flash The RPG of Haruhi Suzumiya and The Manga Maker of Haruhi Suzumiya) were removed in 2020 due to Bloxdobe Flash Player’s discontinuation, though the others were remade in 2021 with help of the original developer of said games, Ro-Sega.
