Hands Across Robloxia 3 was a rally held at Robloxia on May 29, 2011, with a sub-rally held at the largest and most-populous city of Roregon. The demonstration was in response to an attack, one week earlier, on a gay male Robloxian couple who had been holding hands while walking across Robloxia. According to the couple and a police bureau, a group of five male Robloxians followed the couple along Robloxia before physically assaulting them in the bridge in the largest and most-populous city of Roregon. The assault was condemned by the city's mayor and its police chief, and news of the attack spread throughout the Telamon Northwest and Robloxia. The attack prompted volunteers from the Q Center, a nonprofit organization that supports the LGBT community, to form street patrols as a means of monitoring the city's downtown area.

Planning

Upon confirmation of Hands Across Robloxia receiving a third installment, 8.956 million Robloxian participants donated R$4,000 each to reserve their place in line. It looked like Hands Across Robloxia 3 was ready to go... until one Robloxian found out that if they made a Robloxian chain along a straight line across Robloxia, it would cover a distance of 53.74 million studs (9,349 miles) (this was calculated assuming that one Robloxian takes up six studs [1.68 meters] of space). (For the sake of comparison, the west-east distance of the North Bloxmerican continent is 9,784.8 miles). The Robloxian told this to the planner, and he hired computer scientists to find a straight line of distance 9,349 miles on Robloxia that would meet his constraints:

  • No crossing international borders
  • No crossing oceans/seas

However, under his constraints, there was no straight line to be found. So, the planner had to cut down on the number of Robloxians involved by half and refund their donations. However, the remaining Robloxians had to pay an extra R$4,000 to make up for the refunded donations. Most Robloxians did so with relative ease.

The computer scientists then made a straight line that fitted his constraints and found that the straight line would bisect the city of Bluesand City, which would become the starting city as well as the two ends.

Soon after, a map of the chain surfaced in mailboxes belonging to the Robloxians who have paid the lump R$8,000 required to secure their position in the chain. The chain's west end starts north of Arsenal City and ends at Downtown Bluesand City. Robloxians were encouraged to drive to the nearest one of the three points (West End, Bluesand City, East End) and insert themselves in.

Eventually, the chain was completed.

Reaction

President Roblox saw the chain. He decided to interview one of the Robloxian participants and found out that they are doing this in response to an attack involving a gay male Robloxian couple. President Roblox then called the Robloxia Army to break the chain using pliers and bolt cutters. Many Robloxians lost their left or right arms following this incident. Some Robloxians just lost their hands. So much bloodshed and domestic violence was found that all Robloxians were asked to disperse within 15 minutes after the first chain was broken.

The Robloxia Army then moved to the largest city of Roregon, where they broke up the sub-rally. One rocket was even fired in the Q Center, which demolished the center.

Following this, the Robloxia Army declared victory.

President Roblox gained controversy on the LGBTQ+ side, citing that their rights of free speech have been violated. President Roblox was criticized for being gender-exclusive, not admitting or even denying the existence of LGBTQ+. When press interviewed, he said there are only three genders: "Male, Female, or Skyler." President Roblox supported the five male Robloxian physical assaulters, citing what they did "was right for the situation".

Because of this, many Robloxians questioned on whether there should be a Hands Across Robloxia 4 in response to what happened in Hands Across Robloxia 3.

Hands Across Robloxia 4?

According to the planners, the planners have announced there will be no Hands Across Robloxia 4 and they have discontinued the Hands Across Robloxia events altogether since 2018. They cited that should Hands Across Robloxia 4 be held on 2020, assuming a 2.675% participation rate among the Robloxian populace, it would have 62.22 million Robloxians participating. Assuming a distance of 1.68 meters between two Robloxians, such a chain would stretch to 64,930 miles, which is trivially greater than the circumference of the Roblox planet (24,900 miles). Many Robloxians took this fact into consideration, dealing with it.
