Hana Yamamoto is a former minor character and current main character in the Roblox Friends series. She was introduced in 2021 and after a long hiatus, she returned in 2023, but as a main character.
She is the main protagonist of the Robloxian Cartoon Network iteration of the Roblox Friends franchise.
Development
Her design and character were inspired by one of the dancers in the Robloxian Just Dance music video; Baby One More Time, which is a 2018 cover of the 1998 song of the same name. This dancer is the blue dancer (Hana Yamamoto). Yamamoto revealed in an interview with the RNN that she used to be a fan of Roblox Friends when she was 12. She also revealed that she was once a submitter on the website, RobloxFriendsSubmissions. As a result, Hana Yamamoto was created in the likeness of the real-life Hana Yamamoto.
Introduction
In generation 3 of Roblox Friends, Hana was introduced in the dancing class set with Hannah. This set was popular because of Hana Yamamoto’s character, and that this set was based off the Robloxian Just Dance music video, except that the three other actresses (Brianna, Amy and Katerina) were excluded.
