Protesting

There have been protests in the town regarding on whether to be annexed to become a suburb of Bloxburg or a suburb of Brookhaven. The protests have grown uncontrollable, and the mayor of the town, as all members of the mayoral succession, have been killed in the initial protest of September 5, 2021. Due to this, the town is now under anarchy, and county, state, and federal laws are of no help to relieving the anarchic state.

Population

Prior to the protests, population was a modest 18,000. Currently, the population is 5,800 and is projected to decline in the long-term unless the anarchic state is relieved.

History

Green Wood Town was created by Bloxburgcians and Brookhavers on October 5, 2009, as a social experiment to see whether they can coexist. The population growth was steady until June 14, 2017, when the city suddenly received an influx of criminal activity and vampire activity. The experiment was initially successful as their population grew despite later difficulties, reaching 18,000 at its peak when the mayor declared that it would be incorporated as a suburb of a city on September 5, 2021.

On May 18, 2021, Greenwood Town was visited by a video game publishing corporation's employees in order to get inspiration from their renowned game.

Bloxburgcians wanted the city to belong to Bloxburg, while Brookhavers wanted it to belong to Brookhaven. Due to the coexistence, the vote was split exactly 50-50. The decision, rather than being put on hold until a tiebreaker, was decided by a coin flip. One coin of the city was to be sacrificed by the government among the populace, and so the coin was flipped. It turned out to be a trick coin; rather focusing on the traditional "always lands heads or tails", it landed on its side. The coin remained on its side for a long time before resting momentarily. The city government did not want to do a reflip, which made both sides so upset that the city's employed population began dividing into criminals and police officers, with the criminals firing the first shot of the protest by killing every government employee in the city, essentially beginning a larger encompassing movement that would be localized in the town and would ultimately grind tourism to a near-halt.

Key Items in the Town:

Card - The card gives access to the town's police department. Cops usually give them and those can be stolen from cops.

Flashlight - Helps Robloxians see while carrying a weapon.

Newspaper - The town's newspaper: still being published amidst times of governmental uncertainty.

Phone - Just a brick.

Architectural Defects:

Some places in town have architectural defects:

  • The walls: A shield can be used to go past them, but takes a long time. Also, going close to the wall corners makes Robloxians pass through the wall. This defect is most particularly abused in the town's prison.
  • The Mafia-only room of the Mafia: A Riot Shield somehow manages to get Robloxians inside. If the main weapon (Tec-9) is stolen, it can be used to virtually get through anything with ease. May also get the Robloxian through the ground, so be advised.

Fun Fact:

  • The town is named after a vehicle prominently used in a video game.
