History
The origins of Grandis trace back to 1814, when a group of settlers from the Brickwater settlement sought fertile ground near the Bramble River. Originally established as a trade post, the town expanded rapidly due to its location at a natural crossroads between eastern and western Kionne. By 1856, it had developed a town charter and became a hub for blacksmithing, textile production, and grain milling. In the early 20th century, the town was struck by a major flood in 1907, prompting the construction of Grandis Dam upriver.
