The GAMA Private Hospital is a privately owned hospital and luxury resort based in the secluded, snow-covered mountains of Rosaka, Neo-Japan.
Background
GAMA is an exclusive and luxurious clinic known to cater only to the most affluent patients, often using practices not authorized by the Neo-Japanese government. The hospital is also involved in the trade of illegal organs and the smuggling organs from the developing world to sustain the life of the wealthy, however theses are proven to be at their own risks:
- One example included where Dr. Pavel Frydel and Dr. Akane Akenawa: GAMA Surgeon whom were fired for conducting unethical transplantation that led to a death of a patient.
The facility has extremely tight security where all items imported within are searched.
During 2032, William Soders was prepared in GAMA for his two day regenerative stem cell transplantation, while a FPJC official visited a hospital, unaware she was framed.
The hospital building itself is built at a high altitude and is quite isolated as it is only accessible only by cable car, snowmobile, and helicopter.
Although it would seems that those methods may allowed patients to escape, patients are unable to access those vehicles as:
- Any access doors that does not allow them to enter is within the detection radius would remain locked.
- Security is desperately high due to the inclusion of Neo-Japanese Authority and GAMA's personally hired bodyguards.
- Certain transportation are only accessible for patients when discharged from the hospital.
Facilities
- A traditional Neo-Japanese sushi restaurant named 'Sakura Sushi'.
- A luxury hot spring and spa (Onsen Hot Spring).
- GAMA Hospital is partially run by an artificial intelligence called "TiAI" (Tan Industries Artificial Intelligence). TiAI is in charge of everything from calling patients over the PA to performing advanced surgery procedures. Everything at GAMA is top of the line and even the doors are out of the ordinary. No keys are needed as TiAI simply detects the presence of a small RFID chip incorporated into patients and staffs' clothing and grants the appropriate access.
- Much of the medical technology at GAMA was developed by Tan Industries and the Carkson Biotech Corporation, often as a cross-disciplinary partnership to create cutting-edge life-saving technology for clients.
- The main surgery room where the SPIDER(M) prototype is in place.
- The morgue, where dead patients are being stored.
- The hospital research center.
