What's the time? Funtime! Funtime Co.'s Slogan
The Funtime Corporation (shortened and advertised as Funtime Co) it was an Robloxian toy manufacturing company founded by the late Daniel Linshmle in 1930. Despite a family death in the 1960s that pushed him down to his lowest, Linshmle continued to grow Funtime Co., hiring Robloxian such as Eddie X. C. Ritterman, as Head of Research, Lexington Pierre, as Head of Innovation, Jimmy Thorne, as Chief Marketing Officer, and many others. The company and its toys had reached renowned status by the 1950s and is an astounding empire to the games of every child around the Globe.
Information
The Funtime Co. factory is located in an unspecified location in the Midwestern United States of Robloxia. It was established in 1930, with the intent to entertain children across the globe, becoming the most famous and well-known toy manufacturing company of its time.
After years of creating new toys, many toys became popular. Out of all the toys ever created by Funtime Co., Huggy Wuggy, created in 1984, was the most popular and memorable toy. During an unknown time, Funtime Co. offered factory tour guides for $2.99 per visitor, speculated to be around the time Rosey gained popularity as both her commercial and the tour guide commercial were put into one VHS tape.
However, out of the public's eye, Funtime Co. experimented with their toys, eventually trying to revive a dead rat with poppy flowers. While the experiment failed, either employee Lexington Pierre or Harley Sawyer thought that something larger than a rat would yield better results. These results later helped found the Bigger Bodies Initiative. Revealed within multiple documents, the orphans that Funtime Co. adopted would be "biologically" turned into the toys. With Jessica Siora, for example, is Mommy Spider. Rosey Funtime was created using the parts of Daniel Linshmle's daughter, and she was the presumed family member whose death pushed him to his lowest.
After the implementation of the Bigger Bodies Initiative, Funtime Co. utilized the toys to their advantage by making them fulfill various jobs, such as Huggy Wuggy who functioned as the factory's security, and Mommy Spider who helped manage the kids in the Game Station. This helped Funtime Co. increase its workforce efficiency without needing Robloxian workers who required payment, breaks, and would complain.
Although Funtime Co. is based in the United States, the company is shown to be international, as there is one report notice with Tovokian letters on it shown. And in a employee instruction tape labelled as "RESTRICTED relocation 04-04-1994.mp4", Ro-German and Tovokian letters are shown telling the viewer to stop watching said tape due to tamperment. These two appearances of different languages could mean that Funtime Co. owns facilities in other countries and/or international companies supply Funtime Co. (especially from Tovokia and Ro-Germany). Additionally, Funtime Co. seems to hire people from different countries as some of their employees originate from the Bloxia Kingdom, Tovokian Federation, Ro-Germany and so on.
While on the surface, Funtime Co. was a highly successful corporation that created toys and happiness for children across the world, and it is shown that Funtime Co. was, in reality, the complete opposite of its external reputation. Filled to the brim with internal issues, the company consistently treated its employees and workers horribly, constantly supervising their working and even forbading employees from fraternizing unless necessary. It is implied the company paid little regard to the factory's infrastructure, where an orphan accidentally fell in the dough machine is implied to be as a result of faulty railing; something that could have easily been fixed. There are many more issues that are detailed below:
As mentioned by an Employee in the Warden Office 8/8/1995 tape, one major issue that Funtime Co. suffered was personal agenda of the executives; ironically, said employee is the most obvious example of this, as after using the Bigger Bodies Initiative to ensure more profits and save on labour costs, he strayed far from the project's original goal and seemingly used it as an excuse to experiment with immortality. Additionally, Lexington Pierre is also implied to have only invested in the initiative for financial reasons as opposed to its actual goals, as Sawyer noted that his successful creation of the Killing Machine would appease "Lexington and her money men". He implies that personal agenda is what helped cause The Hour of Fun, given that only the most senior executives had executive access to the failsafes and security measures.
Funtime Co. was also highly obsessed with maintaining secrecy and confidentiality among its employees to ridiculous levels, to the point where employees were discouraged from talking to one another. The company claimed this would be used to secure the company, which was obviously an excuse to hide the Bigger Bodies Initiative. A.L. claims in the Orientation Notebook that he was forced to sign multiple Non-Disclosure Agreements about Rosey Funtime and had an encounter of an employee who told him the dolls’ technology was simpler than what he assumed but refused to disclose more than that. In page 55 of said notebook, the author wrote that it was forbidden for employees to discuss any events that happened in the factory to anyone. What is worth mentioning is this line; "If you thought you saw something odd or disturbing ... it's important to remember that no, you didn't."
Funtime Co. was additionally not above murdering its employees and workers in order to hide their secrets or if they were liabilities, as seen with Rowan Stoll. At some point, he knew about the secrets of Funtime Co., which was revealed to them. They had Rowan's car sabotaged, causing him to nearly die as a result, and then after that, he was eaten alive by the Killing Machine; the latter was Funtime Co'.s prime method of murdering employees. Such a case was also theorized for William Lockley's fate. Most cruel is that Funtime Co. has no qualms in killing innocent bystanders if they deem it necessary; in the Incident Aftermath tape, Stella's distraught blabbering of "Those poor... poor people." and Lexington's response to this implies witnesses to the Theater Incident were all killed off to keep it a secret.
Even without considering Funtime Co's willingness to kill civilians, workers and employees who are otherwise incompetent or only somewhat of a threat are unusually punished with harsh measures; An Employee's pension was halted and he was written up constantly before he was killed by Killing Machine, another employee was demoted from his previous post and moved to work in the Rejected Room due to his numerous complaints of the company (although they made it back up to become a Shipping Manager), and another employee was sent to "Storage B" for sabotaging equipment, where it is likely they was "silenced" there.
Known Employees
Daniel Linshmle
FOUNDER
- Daniel Linshmle
Daniel Linshmle was the founder and CEO of Funtime Co. It is known that he was full of imagination and creativity, which was why his designs were so unique. In the VHS tape, it's revealed he was a divorced man whose ex-wife was called Molly and that he suffered a tragic family loss in the 1960s yet continued with his goal of giving joy to children.
However, a radio broadcast reveals that after his death (sometime in between 1984 and 1990) the body of a young boy was found on his estate. His neighbours had reported that he would often leave and return to his home at strange hours just making the discovery even more suspicious.
Andrew Trimetzer
SUPERVISORS & HIGH RANKED MEMBERS
- Andrew Trimetzer ("AndroidTan")
Andrew Trimetzer is an ex-supervisor of the factory, who grew up from Bloxia Kingdom and became a Funtime Co. Worker which became the Head of Administration. His name is also mentioned by Sharon when he was in an incident when he befriended a Yarnaby Toy that is not intended for Consumer Usage.
His nickname was place as AndroidTan due to his knowledge on certain subjects that is equivalent to what AndroidTan would do.
Trimetzer's Job Employment was terminated on 4/5/2005, but disposal of subject has failed. His Position was filled by Lexington Pierre.
- Lexington Pierre
Lexington Pierre was the supervisor for all employees at Funtime Co. and is heard in many tapes produced by Funtime Co. She is also revealed to have been Trimetzer's successor as Head Administrator of Funtime Co. It is known that he was pretty jumpy and despised by other employees. Pierre was quite arrogant about Funtime Co. and was proud of her work, being the Head of Innovation and the Head Leader of Funtime Co.
- Harley Sawyer
Harley Sawyer was a Funtime Co. executive who was the founder and chief proponent of the Bigger Bodies Initiative as well as the Head of Special Projects. Due to the nature of the Initiative and his plans for it. From an VHS tape alone, Sawyer appears to be grumpy, tired, yet incredibly dedicated to Funtime Co. to the point of sacrificing innocent lives. He comments on the failure of the company in a way that seems like his disgust is genuine and his support for Funtime Co. is similarly genuine. Despite this, Sawyer also appears very apathetic because he mentions workplace incidents then in the next sentences, he talks about how a lawsuit couldn't be avoided. This shows that Sawyer only cared about the company's welfare and not the welfare of the workers themselves.
- Stella Greyber
Stella Greyber was the head of Playcare as well as an announcer for the Game Station who also sorted out orphans' assessment forms - she was first mentioned in her interview tape. She was imaginative, often childish and believed that adults are "kids but older". In the Game Station, when an employee pulls the lever that activates the intercom, Stella speaks about the three games the children must play.
- Eddie A.L. Ritterman
Eddie A.L. Ritterman was the Head of Research at the factory. His first mention was in his note directed to Warrenbach Construction talking about a deal made between that company and Funtime Co themselves to work on a secret project only meant to be known about by executives at Warrenbach and Funtime Co respectively. He also mentioned a hefty compensation for Warrenbach of around $100,000 RBX dollars. He then ended by stating he would prefer the laboratory be completed within 12 months but stating the most important part is the laboratory being built correctly. Eddie's voice can be heard in the Incident Aftermath recording discussing an incident with other higher-ups and investigator Gerad Lockehart.
- Jimmy Roth
Jimmy Roth was the Chief Marketing officer seen in a tape with his namesake. Based on the video, Roth seemed to be very happy and enthusiastic with his work, boasting that marketing isn't simple and that he makes it look simple. He even stated that Funtime Co should be known for their marketing rather then their actual products. With some analysis, it does seem like Roth was hiding something or was underestimating the true work he and Funtime Co did. This is seen when he cut off the interviewer's reply with a completely random topic about the color blue in order to not answer any more questions. Additionally, he also stated that he had a tactic of adding the 'e' sound to the end of toy names as a marketing strategy.
EMPLOYEES
- Sharon
Sharon is an employe whom Lexighton Pierre called her an idiot for not turning off the microphone at the last moment and threatened to fire her. Her name is also mentioned by Lexington when the Specialist is caught by Huggy Wuggy. She also was briefly mentioned in the Incident Aftermath recording when Pierre believed her to be outside the room.
- Rich Lovitz
Rich Lovitz was a very angry employee who would lose his temper at small accidents or misplacements. He is heard yelling at Avery in the Yellow VHS Tape and complaining about a job demotion in an VHS Tape. Despite all this, his co-worker, Stuart, discussed the possibility of promoting Lovitz. A lot of speculation surrounds this character, as some believe he could be Andrew Trimetzer prior his Leaving.
- Avery
Avery is an employee briefly mentioned in a Company VHS Tape.
- Jaren
Jaren is an employee mentioned in a Company VHS Tape. He gets called out by Lexington Pierre in the tape because one of the Huggy Wuggy shirts has Huggy eating a Robloxian arm. This indicates he may have been working in the Marketing Department.
He was likely to be fired.
- Marcas Brickley
Marcas Brickley was a lower-level employee. He was a hard-working person and seems to have scared easily based off his reaction to encountering a mysterious creature. Due to him seeing something confidential, it's possible that he was later consumed by Killer Machine.
- Patty Hall
Patty Hall was an employee mentioned in Discolors Rejection Note and on the Notice of Disciplinary Action in Rowan Stoll's Computer Database. She was presumed to have worked on the factory line, with her job being to color the manufactured toys. In an act of defiance for unspecified reasons, Patty purposefully miscolored an entire shipment's worth of toys, making them devoid of use and wasting resources. She was demoted and sent down to Storage B for "further instructions". Likely to silence her from revealing it to the public.
- Dr. Matthew Wayson
Dr. Matthew Wayson was an employee mentioned in his Formal Request Form to add windows inside the Game Station. due to the rowdiness and psychological concerns he had about the children.
Because he is referred to as "Dr.", he may have been a scientist involved in the Bigger Bodies Initiative. However, he was more likely to be a psychologist as he focused primarily on the mental health of the children and notes a good point about an area needing to feel natural in order to make people feel comfortable and act normal.
- Thomas Clarke (Experiment 1199)
Thomas Clarke was a former Funtime Co. employee who was turned into a Bron toy voluntarily and designated as Experiment 1199. He had worked in Funtime Co since 1955, indicating that he was a very experienced worker, possibly in management positions by then. However, he, unfortunately, developed terminal lung cancer leading to him volunteering to become a Bron toy 6 months after his diagnosis, sometime around 1991. When Thomas became a toy, the female scientist noted that he seemed to be very disoriented and moved his eyes around constantly, with her believing that he didn't even know where he was or what happened to him. Thomas was then placed in a room full of other toys and they promptly noticed him and began to eye him up, before attacking and severely wounding him, with his larynx and thyroid being completely devoured by the toys. While he survived via surgery, he was unable to speak afterward.
- Resource Extraction Specialists
The Resource Extraction Specialists are the employees responsible for collecting toy parts throughout various locations by solving puzzles, getting to a chute, and then escaping via the train they arrived on. The Specialists face 3 mascots as obstacles: Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Spider, and Killer Machine. The Resource Extraction Specialists appear to be disposable as Lexington Pierre disappointingly tells Sharon to "find a new Resource Extraction guy", implying that Lexington has seen many Specialists get killed by the mascots.
Unidentified Members
- Unnamed Head of Security
The Head of Security was an employee first revealed in the Confidential Reports folder, providing updated info of an unknown employee's death to Lexington Pierre. Other than that, little to no other information is available about them, but it is known they are in charge of Funtime Co.'s security and is likely a very important person, as security is known to be a major presence in the corporation. Since they manage security, they may have been in charge of Huggy Wuggy's security duties as well as maintaining other "tamer" parts of security as mentioned by Lexington Pierre in her first tape.
- Unnamed Warden
The Warden is an employee that has no background, he is heard in his respective tape running to Harley Sawyer, now stuck as a robot during the Hour of Joy, asking him on what to do to get out. The Warden reveals that only four people (including himself) have executive access to the security systems, implying he is very high ranking in the corporation. When Dr. Sawyer asks the Warden for the Omni-hand so he could ostensibly save him (which is unlikely given his nature), the Warden reluctantly does so, asking him to help him leave the facility.
- Unknown Announcer
The Unknown Announcer is heard in the Big Spider PSA, judging by his role, he may have been a part of the company management and somewhat annoyed by the complaints of the mascots, muttering complaining as a contribution in a tone that sounds condescending and disappointing. However, he may have just been curious and slightly surprised that there were that many complaints.
- Unnamed Female Scientist
An Unnamed female scientist seen in VHS Tape, RESTRICTED_restoration.mp4, was an employee of Funtime Co. responsible for overseeing Experiment 1199, also known as Thomas Clarke. She narrates the background of Thomas as a robloxian and his role in Funtime Co. before explaining what happened to him and why he decided to volunteer to become a Bron toy. She also records 1199 and what happens to him. She was presumably the one who turned Thomas into a Bron toy. Due to her role, she was almost definitely involved in other experiments.
- Unnamed Scientist
The Scientist is an unnamed scientific member appearing only verbally in a VHS Tape. He was supposedly one of the many scientists hired by Funtime Co. to experiment on their toys. Judging by him clearly not caring about his co-workers losing their lives, he may have been egoistical and let others deal with the consequences of his own actions, such as the possible creation of The Prototype. In the VHS, he states that he would be back after a breakthrough, but before he can end the recording, it stops prematurely, indicating the Scientist was killed.
- Unnamed Retrieval Team members
The Unnamed Retrieval Team members were a part of the staff sent to retrieve Huggy Wuggy after his escape from the Playtime Co. Facility in VHS Tape dubbed as; RESTRICTED_disappearance. They were equipped with tranquilizer guns in order to sedate Huggy Wuggy should they find them and at least one of them rode out in a car to find Huggy Wuggy, alongside another who recorded themself being attacked by Huggy Wuggy. Out of 11 casualties, 5 were declared deceased while the other 6 were deemed missing.

Incidents
Huggy Wuggy Escape
Official Report (Closed)
Huggy Wuggy (dubbed Experiment 1170) exited the factory through an open delivery bay door in the production wing. Two staff members witnessed the incident and hit the emergency alarm.
All available security staff and vehicles were mustered and began to pursue Huggy Wuggy. By that time, Huggy was estimated to have traveled a half-mile from the factory.
The team was divided into two groups. Soon, Group 1 located Huggy heading south along the utility vehicle route and informed Group 2. Group 2 planned to cut him off at a railroad crossing ahead and keep him from getting out on to public roads. They told Group 1 to keep tailing Huggy and keep them updated.
Group 2 managed to cut Huggy off and told everyone to get ready. As the teams surrounded Huggy, he suddenly rammed into Group 1's car and they began shooting tranquilizer darts at him. The team fired three rounds of tranquilizer darts, hitting Huggy once in the left leg, but he managed to flee into the woods. The security teams then split into smaller groups and continued after Huggy on foot.
The search area expanded to over 4 square miles, extending into nearby residential areas. As the security team left the effective range, their radios became unreliable. During that time, the security team's video cameras captured Huggy Wuggy within the search area.
One of the security workers followed a trail of broken branches and came across a fresh dear carcass. Shortly after discovering the carcass, quiet clicks and the sound of twigs being stepped on were heard by the security worker, and they began to look around frantically. They turned to their left and saw Huggy just before he began attacking them and their fellow security workers.
One of the security team's video cameras captured Huggy standing in the front yard of a house in the suburbs, relatively unmoving and staring straight into the camera.
Information given by Lexington Pierre
During the search, several staff members were killed by Huggy and many others disappeared. In total, eleven workers were lost; five died, and six went missing.
The video camera of the security workers that Huggy attacked was still recording and captured him screaming. After searching for almost 4 hours, Huggy was located and sedated.
Lexington Pierre wrote a report which detailed that Huggy managed to escape through the ventilation system without security's knowledge, and that she was unable to understand how Huggy could access it. Pierre mentions that it was pure luck alone that caused them to find Huggy before anyone else did and that it cost them lives. Pierre adds that the members of the Innovation department was not happy due to the incident—and that neither was s
The Relocation Incident
A worker films themselves walking in the darkness. The lights turn on and Kissy Missy remains docile. They then restrain the giant, showing Kissy Missy strapped onto a large wooden board before putting said giant onto the train. Several workers look on as a giant mechanical claw, similar to the one used in the Rejected Room, slowly places Kissy Missy onto the train. The sign for Playcare can also be seen.
An Unnamed Employee loosen the straps holding down the giant. The timestamp of said incident that it is 10:42 AM on August 8, 1993.
The tape cuts back to Kissy Missy at 10:55AM while the train is moving toward its intended location. Until the train is moving at higher speeds than before. Kissy Missy remains still, but she's looking down at something. Shortly after the clock strikes 11:00 AM, the screen cuts to black.
The footage resumes a few seconds later, cutting to 11:14 AM. Kissy Missy's straps are gone and two workers lay dead on the ground. Splatters of blood cover the area, with some on Kissy Missy herself. Screams can be heard in the distance. Despite being freed, Kissy Missy stays put, smiling while in her previous position on the wooden board. The video then cuts to a screen stating that the footage has gone missing.
Trivia
- Funtime Co.'s heyday (most successful day) is May 5, 1992.
- Almost all of Funtime Co.'s main toy mascots have some human-like abilities or personalities.
- The font of the Funtime Co. logo is the Ubuntu-Title font.
- The factory is located near a forest, as the map and video footage of an Incident which shows various trees, as well as footage of a deer (a common forest animal).
- A poster about Funtime Co.'s Foster and Adoption Care initiative mentions their intent to help orphaned children in the Midwest, suggesting the Playtime Co. factory is located in the Midwestern states. Two states are possible candidates:
- The factory is based in Bloxiana. This assumption relies on the time in an Incident of the Huggy Wuggy Escape, seemingly connected to Bloxiana time.
- The factory is based in Ro-Illinois (also a Midwestern state) instead of Bloxiana. In a Recording Tape of a train conductor of Funtime, there's a train station where the timetables display the names of three railroad companies. These three rail lines intersect in a town called Ro-Thebes, located in Ro-Illinois. Given the significance of these rail connections, it's quite likely that the Funtime Co. factory is situated in Ro-Thebes.
- Ro-Thebes also has lots of trees and vegetation, and when noting the map of Funtime Co. (full of forests and trees), this could support this.
- Some found it rather bizarre that an Employee managed to open the main door and get into the factory and wasn't arrested by the police for sneaking in and trespassing an abandoned and condemned factory.
- It's likely the "security measures" within the building were enough to ward off trespassers and "remove" them if they went any further in.
