On June 13, 2031, a GFA Roeing E-3 Sentry was shot down over a city in Brickland. The aircraft was shot 30,000 feet out of the sky and fell into the abandoned city square.

Aircraft Involved

E-3 Sentry (Foxhole 3)

Foxhole 3 was one of about 50 AWACS aircraft owned by the aerial military branch of the Global Furry Agency. Originally owned by the Robloxian Air Force before being bought by the GFA in 2014, Foxhole 3 was upgraded with a more effective AESA (Active Electronic Scanning Array).

Haunebu-V

The Haunebu anti-gravity aircraft was the cause for Foxhole 3's shootdown by firing a missile at the side of the cockpit.

Incident Overview

At 10:20PM, Foxhole 3 departs a GFA airbase from an unknown location, the mission is a routine recon drill flight. At 12:17AM, The pilot comments on how his aircraft is acting strange, with numerous radar and instruments malfunctioning, a radar operator catches sight of the unknown aircraft and attempts to contact air traffic control. Unaware to the crew aboard Foxhole 3, the haunebu came with an extremely powerful electronic jammer that rendered all systems of the aircraft useless, as communication was severed between ATC and the E-3, a miniature thermobaric missile was launched at the side of the plane's cockpit, breaking it apart and killing the pilot, copilot and flight engineer. Operatives that weren't killed in the inital blast parachuted out but were picked off by the Haunebu's laser turrets, that is until an un-named operative fired a distress flare. Despite that, there were no survivors. After that, the Haunebu-V departs back to the Velkia Aerostat.

Incident Transcript:

Pilot: 40,000 feet and cruising, no reported major threat, just lots of memes running around from the 2019 attacks. tiny radar blips i don't need to worry about
AndroidTan: Copy that pilot, this is Mr Fox, signing off for the night, ATC will monitor you from here.
Copilot: *drinks coffee*
*1 HOUR LATER*
ATC: Foxhole 3, descend to 30,000, maintain 160knots
Pilot: Copy that, descending now
TCAS: Traffic! Traffic!
Pilot: What? I don't see squat!
Radar Station operator (RSO): LOOK! Outta the window!
CP: What am i looking at?
RSO 2: The flight patterns are so abnormal, no aircraft can exhibit this behaviour, also the radar is acting haywire.
ATC: Foxhole 3 you are in range of an unidentified aircraft, were getting some odd results, it keeps jumping all over our radar, stand by
Flight Engineer: I'm receiving massive energy readings from the target.
Pilot: ATC WTF IS GOING ON?
ATC: y-y-ou're breaking *static*
*Schwartz Two hovers in front of Foxhole 3 and fires a missile at the side of the cabin*
Pilot: MAYDAY! MAYD-
*sounds of what is presumed to be the plane's nose breaking off is heard*

Aftermath

At 12:37AM, Site 56F, a GFA communication facility tracks a heat signature from the flare to Brickland, this alerts AndroidTan and a tactical Rescue response team to the site, but by the time they arrive, the aircraft is a soldering wreck with no-one alive. News about the incident spreads through the GFA higher-ups, and that the scanned wreckage showed no signs of any damage from regular missiles. To this day, the GFA calls the shooting of Foxhole 3 "The Unknown Crash". Only one person is identified and given a funeral, the pilot AndroidTan talked to before signing off, his name was Derek Schumacher.

Identification of the aircraft was sucessful and the GFA launched a Orbital Attack against the Velkia Aerostat, which caused severe destruction to infrastructure.
