The Fortnidian Plague is a parasite of sorts first recorded in 1792, detailing a disease that spread through the waters and oceans, capable of surviving many years before latching onto a host. However, the first major outbreak occurred in 1985, after a fishing trawler returned from a haul, docking at the port village of Fortnidia with a fish covered in hard structures that seemed impossible to remove. After a few days of trying, the men eventually decided to sell the fish. It at first did not sell, mainly due to the fact that the fish looked pretty disgusting. However, daredevil James Calpin was dared to eat it by the fans of his radio show "He Scores". A few days after eating it, his flesh suddenly became extremely thick, finding this out after another stunt, where a sword was thrown at him. Though a chunk of his flesh should have been carved out, the sword, upon making contact, his skin took the blow and bounced it back, killing a passing Gubby on accident. A few days later, he was physically unable to talk, as his tongue had rotted away, leaving his vocal chords, meaning he could merely make sounds. Surprisingly, on this day, he developed the ability to last without food or drink. A few days later, his brain was completely destroyed, and the parasite completely took over his body. Eventually, his body started to walk and do things by itself, and the structures seen on the fish started to grow on him as well. Eventually, James' body left the house, and started brutally murdering every inhabitant in the village, infecting them, and forcing many Robloxians to evacuate the area.

Symptoms

The average infected are provoked by light, and are very curious about it, therefore making flashlights and phones useful distractions. They also have super-robloxian levels of stamina, speed, and strength. They have very poor vision and hearing. They are super sensitive to sound despite their very poor hearing, which implies that everything they hear sounds distorted. They are most active in the day.

In Case of Infected

Once an infected finds a robloxian, they are not advised to run or to fight. Instead, they are advised to hide. Also, they are advised to distract them with lights of any kind. In case a robloxian is trapped in an infected city, they are advised to keep the lights away, to make sure they do not attract a horde. They are advised make sure to stay silent. Once a robloxian thinks the coast is clear, they are advised to escape the infected city before day arrives. If the robloxian is trapped in a city whilst in a blood moon, the infection will be actively hunting every single robloxian in the proximity, so they are advised to stay in a secluded place, such as a bunker; typical guidance would make the robloxian deceased. They are advised to stay until the blood moon has ended to make their escape from the city.

Roblox Health Organization (RHO):

Currently, the RHO has deemed the Fortnidian Plague a parasitic disease that does not need containment for now, but a treatment and a cure are underway. Possible treatments and cures being developed include:

Fortnidian Drugs

Currently, a drug made using the structures of a fortnidian and other chemicals (to make the disease more docile) is used by many mercenaries, militias and even some militaries due to its insane properties. Sometimes, it may go wrong and users may lose the ability to speak, and sometimes, the disease bypasses the additives and infects the host. This is why it must be handled with caution and care, and overdoses may result in serious side effects.
