Florida Arnold (born July 6, 1977) is a Robloxian business owner and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of the popular smartphone company Beepower. He is an important figure in the rise of smartphones in Robloxia and across the world.
Early Life (1977 - 2003)
Florida was born in 1977 in Brookhaven. He was born without parents and was raised in a child care. From the age of 5, he began to go to a public school and dropped out of college at the age of 17. After he dropped out, he began to get more curious about computers and the internet. He wanted to develop smartphones (at the time, a portable smart device) similar to a Nokia phone, however they were better. From 1994, he founded his company by himself. The name at the time was Portanet (Portable - Internet,) and began to develop his first phone, the Portaphone I. It sold a few hundred units locally, but overall, it wasn't too successful. After this, he decided to work a minimum wage job to stay alive. (WIP)
2007 - 2011
Florida was unimpressed at the flop, and decided to partner with an old friend of his, James Parker, to found his new company, Beepower, in 2007. Florida and James would sell cheap technology products online to keep the company alive. (WIP)
Success (2011 - 2025)
Florida and James had finished developing the first phone, the Beepower Bee 1. The phone was ahead of its time and there were tons of television commercials advertising the product. However, they would only sell the phone online, as there were no brick-and-mortar stores. Despite this, the phone was widely successful, selling out within seconds of launch and selling over 2 million units. Beepower was known as a reliable and trustworthy company to buy reliable smartphones from.
Over the years, each smartphone would sell even more units, being more successful than the last. Florida and James would later be invited into many interviews as they came from nothing.
In May 2025, Florida is worth $98 billion, and James is worth $50 billion. WIP.
