Kyle Howard Cox (Born January 19th, 2003, Saint MacLean, Rohio) is a Robloxian-man who at age 17, shot three people in self-defense, and wounded one other while using an Automatic Assault Rifle during the 2020 Retropolis Riots, Cox was later charged with 3rd degree murder and was found Not Guilty on all charges.

Early Life and Education

Kyle Howard Cox, (Born January 19th, 2003, St. Maclean, Rohio) was born to parents Wendy and Michael Cox, in Jamestown, St. Maclean. Jamestown is a suburb of St. Maclean, which is known for St. MacLean College. Cox would attend Jamestown Community High School, where he would join the schools JROTC Program, and attended biology classes. In his spare time, he would go hunting with his father, Michael, and sister, Megan, and attended church every Sunday. Cox was described for having an interest in guns, politics, and medicine.

2020 Retropolis Riots

On August 24th, 2020, a long distance friend of Cox's, Spencer Milton, reached out to Cox regarding a deal, Gray had asked Cox to help protect a local Buymart chain, and that they needed volunteers for it. Later in interview, Kyle stated that he was a bit uncomfortable with the idea, but decided to do it anyways. Kyle stated, "I just thought, y'know fuck it, why not?" And proceeded to go meet with his friend at a bank in Retropolis. Eventually, Kyle ended up joining the Saint MacLean Saviors. A volunteer militia group dedicated to protecting businesses during the protests, in the case that things got violent. As well as to provide aid to both protestors, and police. Kyle was being paid 200 R$ per day to protect the Buymart. Kyle would be armed with an automatic assault rifle, a medical satchel, and ammunition.

September 1st, 2020

On September 1st, 2020, Kyle and 8 other militia members were assigned to protect the Buymart, since a building across from the Buymart had recently been destroyed, the owners became worried for their business. Kyle was allegedly told by the owners, "If you have to defend yourself, defend yourself. The store isn't the only thing that matters." Kyle later stated while being questioned by police, "Those words haunt me, but they're true."

Shooting Of Deshawne Torres

The riot began at 9:27 PM. At around 9:31 PM, Cox who was armed with an assault rifle, was a member of the Saint Maclean Saviors militia. He had traveled down to protect a local Buymart in Retropolis, that he was being paid by the owners to protect. One rioter, Deshawne Torres, (born July 21st, 1995 - September 1st, 2020)  rushed forward at Cox, and chased him with an axe, and swung at him multiple times. However, Cox ended up pulling his rifle on him, and fired two shots to the chest, in an attempt to de-stabilize him. Cox attempted to preform CPR on him. However, Torres later died in hospital. A few minutes later, protestors rushed forward into the Buymart, breaking down walls, and glass. Some began to throw home-made grenades and smoke bombs. Cox would end up being chased by a group of roughly 15 protestors, alongside other militia members. Riot Police soon ran into the store, where a large fight ensued between protestors. Over 41 injuries were reported by both Riot Police and the protestors. Cox ran down the street to a local Edison dealership, where he was chased. A livestream filmed by a protestor showed Kyle fatally shot two others will being chased and wounded three other members of the group. Rioters also ended up breaking into the back of the Buymart, after breaking down the back walls with sledgehammers through the depositing area for trucks. The damage was over 700,000 Robux.

Shootings of Iyana Torres and Anthony Watkins

Around 9:42 PM, a livestream captured Cox as he ran away from the group of rioters. Kyle is seen aiming his gun at them in order to get them to stop, however, two of them, continue chasing Cox. Iyana Lyn Torres, (Born February 28th, 1996 - September 1st, 2020)  and her boyfriend, Anthony Watkins, (November 21st, 1994 - September 1st, 2020)  rushed forward at Cox whilst holding weapons. The stream showed him shooting Iyana four times in the chest, and Anthony Watkins once in the head, whilst they attacked him using bricks and pipes. Cox was later taken to court in 2021 and pleaded Not Guilty under a self-defense verdict. In October 2021, he was found not guilty on all charges, including the possession of a gun as a minor, and the three third-degree murders he committed. Cox later rose to fame as a government figure. Cox also stated that he was simply there to protect the local Buymart, and that he had provided aid to both protesters, and Riot Police, as well as civilians. This was later confirmed true due to several social media videos. He was also there with his friend.

Arrest

On September 2nd, 2020, Kyle Cox had two police officers sent to his family residence in Jamestown, Saint MacLean, where Cox had been living. On body cam footage, he is seen remaining fairly calm whilst being arrested.

Conviction

On September 11th, 2020, Cox would be convicted of his charges, while staying at the Jamestown Juvenile Center. Cox was charged with 3 counts of Intentional Homicide by the state of Rohio, and was also being sued for 3.1 million Robux by both victims' families. The situation began to go viral, and many Republicans would side with Cox, stating that he was just protecting himself. It was later revealed that victim Deshawne Torres,  was sent to prison for 6 years for pedophilia at age 19, in 2014. He had been released three weeks prior to the riots. Some Republicans stated, "Respect to Cox for killing Robloxia's enemy" His sister, Iyana Torres,  who was also a victim, was also convicted five times for reckless driving. Anthony Watkins was also charged with beating 3 women in 2016, at age 21, but was released early in 2019 at age 23 for an unknown reason.

Court Trial Day 1

On October 12th, 2021, while a college freshman at Rohio State University, Kyle was taken to court. The trial lasted from 3 days, from October 11th to October 14th. During the first day of the trial, Kyle was seen wearing an Robloxian Flag Suit. Kyle later stated in a podcast, "There was a patriotic urge". The Torres family would give their victim impact statements to the court, and use the amount of shots in each body as evidence against Cox.

Court Trial Day 2

On October 13th, 2021, Kyle had shown up to court wearing normal suit attire, and seeming more sad during the trial. At one point Kyle ended up getting teared up, however, many media outlets called this, "A melodramatic performance by Kyle cox" since a lot of people didn't seem to buy his crying. Kyle ended up pleading Not guilty under a self-defense verdict.

October 14th, 2021

On October 14th, 2021, Kyle's lawyers pushed for the release of numerous videos showing that Kyle had acted in self-defense. One video of Deshawne Torres showed him chasing Cox with an axe while swinging it at him, and another video was shown with Anthony Watkins hitting Cox with a skateboard. The third video showed Iyana Torres still attempting to hit Cox even after having the rifle pointed at her. A total of 9 videos of Kyle during the 2020 Retropolis Riots were made public and were used as evidence in the court. At around 3PM, near the end of the trial was when sentencing was. Kyle was seen tearing up in court, while sitting next to his mother and father, Wendy Warmbier, and Michael Cox. Kyle was found not guilty on all charges including the three intentional homicides, as they were ruled as a self-defense killing. Kyle first made a post to E-Doger, saying, "Free Man Today!" showing court documents of him being found not guilty, as well as several photos of him in court.
