Sakura Wars is a 1994 Neo-Japanese anime television series created by Ohji Horie for NTMS Entertainment. It is considered to be one of the first mecha anime to be released in Robloxia. It is currently ongoing.

It is considered a kids show as it has fantasy violence and it is rated TV-PG (formerly TV-Y7-FV before the amount of fantasy violence was too much to merit its Y7 rating).

Premise

Basically, it is about a team of teenagers (the only child is Iris [or the Mochizuki girl in the newer seasons)]) in the Taisho period of Neo-Japan who form a team called “The Imperial Combat Troop” to defeat a group of demons by using robots (or mechas).

  • It is one of the first mecha shows to use CGI (the CGI is used for the Mecha themselves)
  • In 1996, Ro-Sega made a game based on the series for the Ro-Sega Saturn.
