Salois, also known as Sablox, is the sixth planet from the Roblox Sun and the second-largest in the Blox System, after Kostrix. Like Kostrix, Salois is a gas giant composed of a rich atmosphere of hydrogen and helium, along with traces of Lua, with layers of liquid metallic and molecular hydrogen and a rocky core the size of Marblox.
General Information
Salois rings are composed of ice, gas, and dust, with billions of chunks either the size of a small jar, an entire semi truck, and some ring fragments have been recorded to be the length of an entire city
The planet has a number of moons, but one of its most studied moons was Loomus, a target for scientists due to its high amounts of liquid methane lakes and a thick atmosphere.
As of 2026, Salois has 260 confirmed minor irregular moons that orbit far out from Salois in retrograde eliptical orbits. This makes Salois the planet with the most moons in the Blox System, dealing a record-breaking knockout to Kostrix's 97.
Fun Facts:
Few missions have visited Salois until FAERA displayed mockups of probes that are planned to visit the planet in a museum in the Museum of Aeronautics and Rocketry in Telamon Islands.
Salois is frequently referred to as "The Jewel of the Blox System".
Nine Roblox's side by side would almost span Salois’s diameter. That does not include its rings.
History:
1610
An astronomer spots Salois's rings through a telescope, but mistakes the rings for a "triple planet".
1659
Salois's rings require at least a 15-mm-diameter telescope to resolve and thus were not known to exist until another astronomer saw them.
1980
In November, a probe visited the Salois system, performing a flyby, but due to most of it's instruments being fried by Kostrix's radiation belts, most of the images were fuzzy.
2004
A spacecraft becomes the first to orbit Salois.
2014
Scientists reported the possible beginning of a new moon within a ring, which was imaged by a spacecraft.
