Stepford Express (also known as just Express) is a train operating concession and a private corporation that operates the Stepford Express network, a high-speed commuter rail system which is a part of the greater Transport for Stepford network. Express links Stepford Central with many urban areas across the county, including Benton, Leighton City, Morganstown, Llyn-by-the-sea and Newry.
History
In 1988, a proposal under the Transport for Stepford system was proposed that would create a new high speed operator to cut travel time between Stepford City and the nearby city of Llyn-By-the-Sea, to replace so-called limited stop trains. The Limited Stop branding officially was discontinued in 1991 after Express was formed. The branding was changed to Stepford Express and ownership was transferred in 2019, and Stepford Express became its own unique brand starting in October 2019.
It is classified as a high-speed rail route due to the fact that its trains are very fast and that it skips majority of the stations operated by Connect. Its rolling stock is considerably designed for high-speed routes, which speeds up to a maximum amount of 125 MPH. However, due to its recent changes which involved having the line stop at the smaller stations of Westercoast, Eden Quay and Newry Harbour, this operator could now be classified as semi-high-speed on these routes, making this operator classified as high-speed and semi-high-speed at the same time.
The route is colored pink rose. Before pink rose, Express used a deep violet color scheme.
