He founded Mitchell & Scott, named after him and his law partner, Daniel Scott, his close best friend and ally while he was in law school, which still operates today, with Daniel Scott being the current managing partner since 2007, the co-founder of the law firm. He switched his political affiliation to the Robloxian Conservative Party to reflect his views on school choice and funding for education. In 1995, he and his partner received the Best Bloxytown Law Firm of the Year, and received the Best County Law Firm of the Year in 1997. According to the law firm's clients, he was considered "The best law firm that defended me" by an anonymous client. Another client said, "The best law firm I have ever visited". This led to him running for Mayor of Bloxytown after longtime mayor Richard James' retirement. Due to his popularity in the city, he won in a landslide with 68.7 percent of the vote.
Mayor of Bloxytown
On May 11, 2002, Mitchell was sworn in as the Mayor of Bloxytown, 8 days after the election took place. His goals during his mayoral campaign were to improve education, increase funding for science and learning organizations, and rely on to improve the construction of suburban neighborhoods. In October 2002, a significant crime surge occurred in both downtown and suburban areas, primarily involving burglaries and thefts. In response to the crime spike, Mayor Mitchell ordered citizens to lock their homes to prevent burglaries, thereby protecting their belongings. Mayor Mitchell also ordered the citizens to buy taser weapons for self-defense only, just in case criminals entered their homes. During the year 2003, Suburban neighborhoods increased, with Mayor Mitchell ordering the construction of suburban neighborhoods in the areas Petville, Robloxidale, and Lumidale. Over 500 homes were built, resulting in a significant population surge of 1,450 people.
