Azumanga Daioh is an Neo-Japanese manga series that was originally created in 1999 by Kiyohiko Azuma (Azuma Kiyohiko) and was originally published into the Neo-Japanese magazine, "Dengeki Daioh" from 1999 to 2002.
It was re-released in Neo-Japan in 2009, and in Robloxia, it has 2 entire re-releases; the latest one being from December 2009. as of 2002, it has 4 entire volumes.
Premise
The premise of the manga is essentially the same as the anime that would later come 3 years after it's release.
Where the series gets it's name from
the name "Azumanga" is a combination between "Azuma", the series' creator's last name and "manga", a word used to describe Neo-Japanese (and some Luobuose) comics.
"Daioh", the last word in "Azumanga Daioh" is essentially derived from Dengeki Daioh, the Shōnen magazine where the manga was first officially serialized in Neo-Japan.
