The Fall of Bloxapore was a battle between the Neo-Japanese and the Bloxia Kingdom to defend the small island of Bloxapore. Roughly 23,000 Neo-Japenese troops attacked the island. The fighting lasted from 1 February 1942 to 15 February 1942. This was considered one of Bloxia Kingdom’s biggest surrenders.

Before the attack
The Neo-Japenese attacked and advanced in New Luobu with around 30,000 men. The Bloxia Kingdom quickly mined the river between Bloxapore and New Luobu. 47,000 men was sent to defend the island, but the troops were inexperienced and were lacking equipment. There were only six armored units and poorly trained soldiers manning the artillery. However, the Bloxia Kingdom had a lot of infantry, mechanized infantry and decent fortifications, the Bloxia Kingdom considered the defenses “impenetrable”. However, they underestimated the strength and tactics of the Neo-Japenese.
During the Attack
Neo-Japenese landings and breaching the defenses
At 0400 on 1st February 1942, the Neo-Japanese threw explosive barrels into the river dividing Bloxapore and New Luobu, which made the mines in the river blow up. They bombarded the beaches with artillery, and they fired 50,000 shells in just two hours. At 0600, the Neo-Japanese crossed the river and landed on Sarinpun Beach. The Beige Regiment and 5th Infantry Division of the Neo-Japanese destroyed most of the beach defenses and pillboxes and they advanced down the Bahtera Track where they attacked the 16th Battalion of the 11th Royal Regiment. At 0630, the 3rd Air Division of the Neo-Japanese made another landing on Buloh Island to secure its flanks in case of a counterattack made by the Bloxia Kingdom, around the same time the 18th Infantry Division captured the Kranji Coastal Nature Park. At 0645, the Bloxia Kingdom blew up the bridge connecting East and West Kranji, the Neo-Japanese advanced through the Neo-Tiew Road and by 0800, the Imperial Guard arrived at Bloxapore and the 18th Infantry captured the Kranji Transmitting Station, cutting off the communication systems.
